Prince William’s wife and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has a slew of royal duties – and at the top of the list is maintaining appearances with a smiling face. After receiving a lengthy list of do’s and don’ts from Queen Elizabeth, Kate Middleton headed to New York City for a well-publicized whirlwind tour of the Big Apple, with a permanent smile on her face (aside from the eye-rolling debacle). What the world didn’t realize is behind the smile of pregnant Princess Kate Middleton while she was in New York City, was a devastated wife and mother-to-be who had to fight back tears at times.
According to the December 22nd edition of GLOBE Magazine, “Kate is guilt-ridden over her husband’s decision not to take over the Throne from ailing Queen Elizabeth, who wants William to be Britain’s next monarch. But William rejected Elizabeth’s pleas, opening the way for his father, Prince Charles, and evil stepmom Camilla Parker-Bowles to become the next King and Queen. William told Kate he wants to focus on her and their growing family for a few years and stay away from the pressure cooker of royal life. Now, Kate blames herself for the royal crisis.”
It’s no secret that the people of England were banking on the fact that Queen Elizabeth would bypass Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles and hand the royal reigns over to Prince William and Kate Middleton. Not only does Kate feel horrible that she and William have let down the entire country, but she feels just as guilty that they are not fulfilling Elizabeth’s final wish which was to ascend the throne. According to GLOBE, Kate is clinging to the hope that William will change his mind before it is too late, and Charles and Camilla have officially taken over the monarchy
