Queen Elizabeth Grooms Kate Middleton To Be Queen: Style and Jewels (PHOTOS)

I think one of the things that many royal watchers love about Kate Middleton is her easy, breezy style. She never looks like the stereotypical, stiff and prim royal. Instead she has even managed to use her pleated skirts and coat dresses to breathe new style and life into the monarchy. It was all good until Kate became a mother and had a few wardrobe malfunctions that caused Queen Elizabeth to raise an eyebrow. She believes that commoners don’t need to see a flash of Kate’s panties during a wind gust again and therefore longer skirts are now in order.

According to the Feb. 24th print edition of GLOBE Magazine, a wardrobe makeover is the first step towards being ready for the throne. Elizabeth has her official dresser now working with Kate to perfect a safer style that still reflects Kate’s personality. In return for lengthening her dresses Kate will be rewarded with the privilege of wearing jewels and tiaras from the queens own collection. Seems like a fair trade, doesn’t it? If you’re dripping in Elizabeth’s diamonds no one is going to be looking at your hemline anyway!

This overhaul is the first step in priming Kate to be ready to take the throne beside Prince William. Plus she is now mother to a future king so Elizabeth strongly feels that Kate must look the part. Do you agree that it’s time for a bit of a makeover for Kate? Everyone has raved about her trendsetting style over the last few years but is it time for her to grow up just a little more?
