The Real Housewives of Atlanta Nene Leakes and her bad nose job, may be getting cast on Fashion Police replacing the late Joan Rivers. As if we aren’t tired of hearing or seeing her already. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star may be the new host of E’s hit show, Fashion Police replacing Joan Rivers. Earlier this month it was announced that Fashion Police would return in January just in time to cover The Golden Globes. Of course no one will ever be able to replace the funny Joan Rivers, the show is using this as a chance to go in a new direction and add some “diversity.” It’s uncertain how this will sit with fans of the show. The network seems to love Leakes’ loud opinionated mouth.
While I’m am a huge fan of Fashion Police, not everyone is looking forward to its return. Kelly Osbourne has already stated she isn’t interesting in doing the show anymore since Joan won’t be apart of it. The way she dresses sometimes she should have never been apart of it in the first place. Executive producer, Melissa Rivers strongly believes her mother would have wanted the show to continue, and this is the main reason it will return in January. Leakes loves to be in front of the camera, so if this rumor is true, she is more than likely jumping for joy.
Now NeNe Leakes is no stranger to fashion. Her clothing line for HSN almost immediately sold out after launching. Other names that have been mentioned to become the new host of Fashion Police are Kathy Griffin, but the comedienne quickly denied those rumors and Tyra Banks. Even though I don’t like Griffin either, she would be a great host, because like Joan she is outspoken and occasionally funny. Tyra has a strong background in fashion, being a model and all, but she may be a little too boring to host Fashion Police.
We will have to see which contender will become the new host when Fashion Police returns to E! January 12.
