Bobbi Kristina Brown: Heroin, Other Drugs Found in System – Breathing Tube Replaced with Tracheotomy for Long-Term Care

Bobbi Kristina Brown: Heroin, Other Drugs Found in System - Breathing Tube Replaced with Tracheotomy for Long-Term Care

Bobbi Kristina Brown was using heroin, cocaine, Xanax and alcohol in the period leading up to her drowning in her bathtub according to People. Even worse, drugs were found in Bobbi’s system when she arrived at the hospital following the fateful 911 call. The fact that Bobbi Kristina Brown was apparently a drug abuser like her mother, Whitney Houston, in no way exonerates Nick Gordon in the ongoing criminal investigation.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, has shown few signs of improvement since being found unresponsive in her bathtub. Now it seems the Brown and Houston families are preparing for the 21-year-old woman’s long-term care. Bobbi Kristina’s breathing tube has been removed and replaced with a tracheostomy tube. A source close to the Brown family revealed that a tracheotomy procedure, which creates the tracheostomy hole, was performed, but the Browns have not changed their minds about keeping Bobbi Kristina on life support. Bobby Brown wants to keep Bobbi Kristina alive by any means necessary.

A specialist who confirmed that a tracheotomy is typically performed when the patient will need the assistance of a ventilator for more than just a few days. Bobbi Kristina hasn’t been breathing on her own since she was taken to the hospital on January 31. The procedure was necessary to prevent infections and keep fluid from accumulating inside her lungs. If Bobbi Kristina recovers from her incident, the aspiring singer’s vocal cords won’t be affected. However, the likelihood of that recovery seems to be diminishing with each passing day.

TMZ reports that Bobby Brown’s wife, Alicia Etheridge, recently spoke about holding on to hope for Bobbi Kristina. Alicia wouldn’t discuss Bobbi Kristina’s condition, but she said that the Browns are focusing on prayer during this difficult time. The Brown and Houston families need a miracle and they’re not giving up despite the grim outlook.

Alicia Etheridge also indicated that the Browns still have no desire to let Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, anywhere near her room. Nick’s attorney made a statement that expressed his wish to see Bobbi Kristina, but it’s doubtful that the Browns will lift their ban any time soon. The suspicious injuries on Bobbi Kristina’s body, including bruises on her chest and a bloodied mouth, have made Nick Gordon the target of a criminal investigation. We’ll keep you updated on any impending charges as well as any changes in Bobbi Kristina’s health.

What do you think about the news that Bobbi Kristina’s system was loaded with illegal drugs? If you’ve looked at the poor girl’s photos then you can’t be surpised. What about the fact that Bobbis’ breathing tube was replaced with a tracheostomy tube? Does this mean doctors don’t expect Bobbi Kristina to recover? What do you think Bobbi Kristina’s chances are? Should the Browns and Houstons hold out hope for a miracle? its a very ugly scene anyhow- he would be horrified with the respirator which makes an eerie sound and he chest going up and down at an unnatural rate and her skin and facial expression- which is more like a wax figure than a human being. When the tube was down her throat it is really horrifying to behold- its a little better with tube in throat- but a ppl in her condition looks dead, their skin feels dead to the touch she probably has contractors etc- very very ugly and she would be horrified .

if we are locking people out of hospital that have been a horrible influence than the hospital room might be empty .

Would she want to be left like this? There’s no reason to drag this on. I wouldn’t do it to my daughter. You can’t make right what she did to her own body. Prayers to the family for their in wavering love and hope for full recovery, but for the right decision to be made.

    1) it’s a ventilator…
    2) everyone who has a tube stuck down there throat for a long period of time like a week or more the doc will want to do a trach TO preserve the airway???it’s standard procedure!!!
    3) this girl was drugged up its doubtful she knew what she was doing anyway…
4). We don’t know if the boyfriend is guilty or not…I will not pass judgement until we all know…because being accused of something u didn’t do is A HORRIBLE THING!!! ( if he did it he will pay)
5). It’s a shame that her family didn’t take her financial means away from her or have her committed to a drug rehab to save her in the first place…just like they should have with Whitney…
6). I WILL PRAY THAT GODS WILL is done in this matter!!!

No Surprise! What’s sad is keeping her alive on machines if there turns out to be no hope. What a circus.

Did they ever think that the bruises and bloody mouth could be from desperate attempts at cpr? Also when you stop breathing for a period of time, your blood pulls to the surface.

Hind sight 20/20 I’m sure Whitney and Bobby would have done things differently, at least send Bobbi K to a boarding school. But right now, Nick G and everybody that was in that house needs to be strapped to a polygraph machine so the truth about what happened to her can be found out. I’m sure Bobby is overcome with guilt and heartache but I do believe he loves his daughter very much and would do anything to help her pull through this.

I was thinking the same thing!! NARCAN might have helped. But the media came out saying no drugs this and that. NARCAN works very well with opiates but if she had other substances (PCP etc.) it might not have worked to well. As soon as the Docs got the TOX Screen I’m sure they knew what they were working with and maybe NARCAN was not an option.

I personally think that they need to really investigate the so call boyfriend, I would also make them reopen the case of Whitney , both of them were found in a bath tub, same situation, something sounds fishy, I would hammer the boyfriend until I got answers, I still think he had something to do with it, and that is my opinion,
Moving forward I would pull the plug, that baby is suffering, let her go, the comfort I would have is that she would be with her mother.
And the money issue, I would burn it, what good is the money if Bobbie is gone.
