Hilary Duff’s parenting skills reportedly could use some work, and according to Star Magazine’s “Celebrity Mom Report Cards” Hilary is technically a “bad mom,” and only scored a C-. Hilary’s son Luca is now 3 years old, and has been photographed on more than one occasion having a meltdown in public, which is a huge factor is Hilary’s low parenting score.
According to the June 15 edition of Star Magazine, Hilary Duff has a tough time telling her son Luca “no,” and an even tougher time disciplining him. An insider dished to the tabloid, “Hilary refuses to discipline her kid and that is why he is always screaming. She can’t be bothered to say “no” to him, and he has learned that if he just throws a huge tantrum he can have whatever he wants. She thinks that it is funny.”
While we totally agree that not disciplining your kids could lead to some serious issues when they get older, and Luca is clearly living proof of that, a C- is a little harsh. Before grading Hilary, Star probably should have taken into consideration her break-up and divorce from Luca’s father Mike Comrie. Often when couples go their separate ways, the parents feel guilty and tend to over compensate or let them get away with whatever they want because their other parent isn’t in the picture. Sure, Hilary could improve her mommy skills, but she may just be trying to make up for the fact that Luca’s dad Mike Comrie isn’t around.
