Ian Somerhalder desperately wants to be a daddy as The Vampire Diaries popularity dwindles. Will new bride Nikki Reed announce a baby is on the way not long after the couple rings in the New Year? It’s no secret that Ian wanted to settle down with former flame Nina Dobrev and start a family. Now, the pressure is on Nikki.
Did Ian issue an ultimatum to Nikki – it’s baby time? Does Somerhalder want to hear the pitter-patter of little feet before the end of 2016 or else? Nina broke up with Ian because the actor was constantly nagging Dobrev about babies, babies, and babies. Now, it’s Nikki’s turn to put up with Ian’s baby demands.
Somerhalder is scrambling now that TVD has been moved to the 8:00 p.m. slot on the CW Friday night line-up. That might as well be the kiss of death for the show. Fans knew when Nina Dobrev left that TVD wasn’t going to survive. Showrunners can attempt to pass off Leslie-Anne Huff’s as a Dobrev doppelganger, but fans aren’t buying it.
Nikki has been trying to help Ian distance himself from the failing TVD, but there don’t seem to be any real career opportunities for the actor. Is his next role going to be stay-at-home dad? The actor is pushing 40 – what else is Ian Sommerhalder going to do? Being a daddy is just as good a job as any, right?
Is Nikki Reed going to give up her role as Betsy on “Sleepy Hollow” to become a mom? Nikki is 27 – and being tied down doesn’t seem to agree with the young actress. Reed jumped into and out of a quickie marriage to “American Idol” season 10 contestant Paul McDonald. The ink was barely dry on the Reed-McDonald divorce papers – January 2015 – before Nikki married Ian – April 2015.
Nina Dobrev wasn’t about to be tied down – or to – Ian Somehalder with a baby. Could be that Ian desperately wants to have a baby with Nikki Reed to show Nina what could have been, maybe try to make Dobrev a bit regretful and jealous?
