The Duchess and her Middleton family have done an amazing job of securing themselves in the royal family. Two royal babies and royal revolution have created a new future for Kate, who will one day be Queen. Kate’s middle class ways are charming to some and lazy to others, but Prince William is clearly a fan of his wife’s ways. Adopting the title of the People’s Next Princess by media outlets like the Daily Mail, Kate is carrying on Princess Diana’s flame.
However, there is one aspect of Diana that Kate doesn’t want to repeat. Prince Charles’ cheating scandal with Camilla Parker-Bowles rocked the royal family and ended in divorce. Charles’ heart seems to have always belonged to Camilla, who he married in 2005. The Duke of Cornwall had been in love with Parker Bowles, but married Diana. In eerily similar fashion, Prince William was in love with Isabella Calthorpe, but married Kate after Isabella Calthorpe refused to marry him.
Determined for that portion of history not to repeat itself, Kate is going to extreme measures to ensure Prince William doesn’t stray. Every time Prince Harry re-ignites his relationship with Cressida Bonas, half-sister to Isabella Calthorpe, the Duchess of Cambridge swoops into bust up the relationship. Keeping Cressida out of the royal family will ensure Isabella is out of sight and out of mind.
Another report by Star reveals Kate Middleton has also taken up pole dancing. The hobby is billed as a few lessons for exercise and a laugh. “She tells everyone that it was great exercise, and she told me that a woman should always have secret talents up her sleeve,” the magazine’s source revealed. Maybe these “talents” are meant to keep William a happy boy.
Most recently, Kate made an official public appearance with Prince William at her side for the children’s charity, Motiv8. The future King and Queen wore matching jackets. As if it couldn’t get any more matchy, the backs of the jackets were emblazoned with their titles, The Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke of Cambridge.
It’s clear Prince William is walking Kate’s line. The Duke even took a day off work to be at home, helping Kate with Prince George’s second birthday party. It is actually typical for royals to be away for their children’s birthdays, but Prince William has been present at the Middleton-heavy parties, as Kate is determined to put her family first.
Rumors of a third royal baby have also been brewing. Even Prince William recently laughed about, but didn’t rule out, having another baby with Kate Middleton. Perhaps, Kate’s plans for a third royal baby have more to due with anchoring herself into the royal family – married to William or not – instead of her desire to have a large family.
