'Orange Is The New Black' Star Taylor Schilling Has New Girlfriend Carrie Brownstein – Couple Spotted Together

Orange Is The New Black star Taylor Schilling has apparently switched teams – and now she is a lesbian, just like her Netflix character Piper Chapman. Taylor Schilling is officially dating Portlandia creator Carrie Brownstein, and the ladies have gone public with their relationship. Fans of OITNB fell in love with Taylor’s character Piper when the series debuted on Netflix in 2013, and apparently Schilling is a fan of Piper’s lifestyle as well and after months of playing the part of a bi-sexual woman and sharing hot and steamy scenes with Laura Prepon – Schilling decided to give it a go in real life.

According to the April 6th edition of Star Magazine, “Orange Is The New Black star Taylor Schilling has taken a cue from her on-screen character and is no dating a woman. Taylor has been getting cozy with 40 year old Portlandia cocreator Carrie Brownstein. The pair, who have been friends for a while, recently took things to the next level and friends say that they couldn’t be happier. And the couple are wasting no time hiding their newfound love. Taylor was most recently spotted visiting Carrie in Portland, Oregon on March 15th, where fans spotted them out and about.” An inside source dished to Star Magazine that there has “always been a spark” between Taylor and Carrie.

Ironically Taylor Schilling is not the first female working on Orange Is The New Black to suddenly discover that she likes women. After the series debuted in 2013 writer Lauren Morelli infamously filed for divorce from her husband and announced that working on the show helped her realize that she is actually a lesbian. Do you think that Taylor and Carrie Brownstein make a cute couple? Is Taylor actually a lesbian, or has her time filming lesbian scenes on Orange Is The New Black just made her curious about being with another woman?
