Reese Witherspoon may have had the image of being America’s Sweetheart [decades ago], but we already know that she’s anything but. Thanks to her spectacularly drunk arrest last year and subsequent image re-branding, Reese Witherspoon is no longer calling herself ‘sweet’. In fact, a new report from Star Magazine claims that Reese has such a horrid reputation among her husband’s co-workers that they’ve started trembling in their boots whenever she plans a stop by CAA.
For those who don’t know, CAA is the agency that represents Reese, and it also employs Reese’s husband, an agent named Jim Toth. While that hasn’t led to any outright conflicts of interest, Reese apparently causes many anxiety attacks when she comes to visit.
Star’s source explains, “Reese is anything but sweet. The staff are terrified of rubbing her the wrong way, so they bend over backwards to please her! She won’t ever take off her sunglasses because she doesn’t want anyone to make eye contact. Jim doesn’t want his coworkers to see it, because he’s such a bigwig. He wants the staff to think that he has the upper hand but it’s obvious she wears the pants.”
Yeah, how would anybody married to Reese Witherspoon think they have the ‘upper hand’? That’s cute, but not even close to realistic. Plus, Reese probably thinks that in addition to being a CAA client, being the wife of a CAA agent entitles her to walk around as though she owns the people there. But clearly, people don’t agree – and people hold grudges. Reese Witherspoon should think about that the next time she goes to make an appearance at her husband’s work place.
