Later Nick Jonas insisted in an interview that his and Selena’s relationship was strictly platonic – but no one is buying it. According to a new report, Nick and Selena were spotted canoodling at a Video Music Awards after-party over the weekend, and it looks like they are definitely more than just friends, and could really be dating!
After the 2015 VMA Awards show, Nick and Selena both headed out for a night on the town – and conveniently arrived at the same after-party in West Hollywood, a shindig thrown by Republic Records. According to Page Six’s sources, Jonas and Gomez were “very close” the entire night. The snitch went on to dish to Page Six, “They were very flirty. He kept whispering in her ear.” Sure, whispering in one’s ear doesn’t exactly constitute dating – but the fact that they have been spotted hanging out this summer, they have dated in the past, and they are both technically ‘single’ speaks volumes.
This summer it became very clear that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are not getting back together – and Justin is severing all ties from his ex because he is tired of her using their tumultuous relationship for free publicity to promote her new album. So, Selena needs a new showmance to keep her in the media until her new album’s October release date. There is a good chance that Nick and Selena really aren’t dating – and she is just making it seem like they are to create some buzz for her new album. You know, kind of like her disgusting song-promoting fake relationship with DJ Zedd earlier this year.
