“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, August 13, tease that Detective Harding (Chris McKenna) will get fed up with Marco (Peter Bergman) and decide he wants out of their partnership. Harding will slam down a big bag of money and state that he’s giving back every dollar Marco ever paid him. Harding will say that they’re even and Marco needs to get out of town. Marco will make it clear that he has no intention of leaving his wife. Harding will shout that Marco isn’t Jack (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is not his wife. Besides, Phyllis already knows the truth and Marco wouldn’t be able to con her again. Marco will insist that he doesn’t need to because of the special connection they have.
Marco will tell Harding that he wants him to get rid of the man wearing his face. Harding will think they should leave Jack alone. Marco will declare that Harding better get on board with the plan or he’ll be the one that’s taken out. Later, Marco will call Victor (Eric Braeden) and order him to help kill Jack. Meanwhile, Summer (Hunter King) will have a nightmare about what happened to Austin (Matthew Atkinson) at the cabin. Kyle (Lachlan Buchanan) will assure Summer that it was only a dream.
Summer and Kyle will meet up with Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) at Crimson Lights. Summer will suggest that her nightmare felt more like a memory. Harding will listen nearby as Summer says there was music playing in her dream. Mariah will make a snarky comment and Summer will stomp off. Kevin will think maybe Summer will remember something more if they give her a little time on her own. Harding will catch up with Summer in the park and promise to find the killer if she’ll bring him any leads she might have. As Harding walks away, his phone will play the same music from Summer’s nightmare.
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Jack will chat about their troubles with Victor. Ashley will wonder who’s behind the scheme. Jack will decide it must be someone who’s ruthless and knows how to attack Victor’s weak spots. The person involved must be bad news. They’ll ponder the possibility that Gabriel (Justin Hartley) could be the guilty party, but Ashley will say the plot seems too personal.
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Justin Hartley) will drink a bottle of bubbly and kiss in Paris. Adam will say he’s found the ideal home for them, but Chelsea will remind him that they’re just staying for a week. Adam will try to persuade Chelsea to stick around. This is their chance for a fresh start. When Chelsea leaves the room for a moment, Adam will get a call. Jack will demand to know how long the Paragon Project has been in the works. Adam will say he doesn’t know what Jack is talking about. Jack will think Adam could be responsible for bringing Marco into the picture, but Adam will assure him that he’s not involved.
Jack will tell Adam to come home to help him figure this mess out, but Adam will confess he doesn’t plan on coming back to Genoa City. A short time later, Adam will once again try to convince Chelsea that they need to take this opportunity they’ve been given. Chelsea will forgive Adam and they’ll excitedly chat about living in France. Adam will leave to grab some food and Chelsea will receive a call from Ashley. When Adam returns, Chelsea will say that Ashley told her Jack wanted Adam back in Genoa City, but he said he was staying in Paris. That was before Chelsea ever agreed. Adam won’t think it was a big deal, but Chelsea will gripe about how they can’t leave the past behind if he continues his old habits.
Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) will take a look at their decorated wedding space. Devon will fear he won’t live up to Hilary’s expectations, but she’ll imply that they’re going to be fine. As Devon gives Hilary a new necklace, Colin (Tristan Rogers) will arrive and say he wishes he could buy his wife fancy jewelry like that. Colin will start talking about faithfulness and love that lasts forever. After Hilary leaves, Devon will wonder if Colin is putting the squeeze on him. Colin will reply that he doesn’t need payment if Devon would rather have Hilary learn about the hooker incident from his bachelor party.
Meanwhile, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will worry about Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) mindset. Nikki will fear the wedding will cause Neil to turn to alcohol or think negative thoughts. Neil will assure Nikki that he won’t drink, but he’ll admit he enjoys all of his vengeance ideas. However, Neil will add that they’re simply fantasies. Nikki will approach Hilary and tell her to be careful since Neil isn’t in a good place right now. Nearby, Neil will scold Colin for coming on too strong with Devon. After all, Colin already got his money. Colin will insist that everything is going according to plan. Y&R rumors hint that this wedding will be a total disaster.
