New Big Brother 18 spoilers revealed by Julie Chen on the LIVE eviction episode tonight show that Paulie Calafiore may yet have a chance to come back into the BB18 house to continue his recent bad boy antics. It all comes down to the Round Trip ticket that Paul held that was not played.
With five weeks left in BB18 and the body count whittled to seven, there needs to be one more houseguest in the game than they currently have. It sure looked like Big Brother showrunners were favorably editing Paulie in case he had the Round Trip ticket, but he did not.
After Julie opened Paulie’s envelope and showed him his One Way ticket that will send him to the BB18 jury house (and an angry Zakiyah!) then the CBS host revealed yet another twist. There will be a second Battle Back among the first five jurors to get back into the house.
That means Da’Vonne, Zakiyah, Bridgette, Paulie and likely either Nicole or Corey (unless one of them wins the HoH and/or PoV) will battle for a shot to return to the house. Big Brother 18 spoilers reveal that this return-to-the-house twist will work differently than the last Battle Back.
The last time this twist was in play, the houseguests battled (much like Redemption Island in Survivor) head-to-head as soon as each eviction took place. So Glenn battled Jozea, then Victor took on the winner, etc., etc. But this go-round it will be different.
This will be like BB16 when Nicole won the jury battle to head back into the house in a head-to- head comp with other jurors. The challenge in BB16 was not physical or endurance. It was more a matter of skill and a bit of luck when jurors slid discs down a slick wooden board to a center circle.
If the comp does turn out to be a physical challenge, Paulie Calafiore could easily walk away with the win by beating out all the girls in the jury. That means he could re-enter the house which would be a huge (and unwelcome) shock to the BB18 houseguests and also to many fans.
While it did feel like CBS has been tipping the scales in favor of Paulie, this twist is simple mathematics – they need another player back in the game to balance the numbers leading up to eviction. But the choice of Battle Back challenges could easily tip the return in Paulie’s favor.
In past seasons, the first three times the juror twist occurred, it was based on Big Brother fan votes. In other seasons, it has been a game of skill or an athletic comp. Paulie could easily win an athletic comp against the girls particularly if it’s Nicole who is the fifth evicted from BB18.
