Recent General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) can’t let go of what she found in Greece and will find herself increasingly haunted by events from Cassadine Island. It won’t be too long before Lulu has to return to the scene of the crime to unravel the mystery.
It seemed like the Cassadine Island adventure ended abruptly and without closure. Did GH writers have to call a pause on this storyline because of Tyler Christopher’s yet unexplained absence from the scene? Did they try Nick Stabile then decide it wasn’t working and abruptly changed the plot?
That’s what it felt like but General Hospital spoilers reveal that Lulu will continue to mull over what she found out in Greece – and what she didn’t – and will be preoccupied with events and unanswered mysteries. It won’t be too long before Lulu has to chase down answers.
First and foremost is whether or not Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) is the body that Lulu found in the caverns on Cassadine Island. GH fans know that there’s no way that Luke is dead underneath Casa Cassadine in Greece.
But as far as Lulu knows, her father might be dead. After all, he walked off into the fog a year ago and no one has seen him since then. Given the adventurous and often dangerous life that Luke has lived, from Lulu’s perspective, he could have died.
General Hospital spoilers tease that all this is leading up to Luke returning. Anthony Geary said he would come back for a good storyline and this is a good one – even if it’s dragging out and taking far too long to come to fruition.
Not only will Luke undoubtedly be back, but some GH spoilers also hint that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) might be back. Given that Valentin Cassadine (James Stuart) is trying to take over the Cassadine legacy, it seems likely that Helena would return from the “dead” to do battle with him.
The second critical issue that’s bothering Lulu is the empty envelope Helena left her. It made no sense at the time, but then when the escaped hostages met Daphne on the island and she mentioned her address, it rang a bell with Lulu.
Lulu told Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) that Daphne lived at the return address on the envelope. So what is in Daphne’s house? It could be Luke or it could be Athena (Jazmyn Skye Vale) the little actress whose debut has been postponed because of the Tyler Christopher situation.
Other General Hospital spoilers indicate there was much more to the island adventure including other Port Charles people heading there such as Franco (Roger Howarth) and Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) looking into Jake Webber’s (Hudson West) time on the island.
It seems as if the GH writers were forced to call a “time out” on the plot because Nikolas portrayer Christopher was unavailable and fans weren’t digging the recast with Nick Stabile. That left GH fans with an unsatisfying and untimely end to the Cassadine Island story.
But it’s not done yet. While Lulu continues to obsess over the fate of her father and the empty envelope clue, General Hospital spoilers hint that the GH serial killer story, the scheme of Claudette Bolland (Bree Williamson), and Sam Morgan’s (Kelly Monaco) upcoming illness story will take center stage.
While these three stories are playing out, Lulu’s frustration will grow until her lack of closure takes her over. Lulu won’t be able to focus on implanting their embryo or moving forward with her life with Dante until she gets the answers she needs.
Unfortunately, it might be Fall sweeps before Lulu finally snaps and demands to Dante that they have to go back to Greece to explore the unfinished business that’s tormenting her.
