“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers are happy to tell fans that Emma Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) is headed back to Port Charles soon to visit Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and the rest of the Scorpio clan plus friends and family. SID made the happy announcement today, February 24!
You’ll recall that Granny Anna gifted Emma with an open ended plane ticket at the wedding of her parents Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) and Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson). We’ve all been wondering when or if Emma would be back.
It looks like Spring Break is the timeframe for Brooklyn’s return to the GH set and we can’t wait to see what’s going on with her and what will happen when she returns. Does this mean we’ll have a Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) storyline with Emma?
We also haven’t seen Spencer in a while since Bechtel has been filming The People vs OJ Simpson. While we’ve seen a few of Liz’s kids, the only kid-centric storyline recently has been Jake Spencer’s (James Nigbor) medical ordeal and ongoing treatment at Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
Brooklyn’s scenes should air around the end of March and early April. And since Jason Thompson is at Y&R as Billy Abbott and Kimberly McCullough is busy with her directing career, it looks like Emma will come back alone – this is a Scrubs free trip to Port Charles.
But we are wondering what will happen. Will her granddad Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) also be in town for part of a family storyline? Will Anna and Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi) still be at odds? At least we know now that Paul actually likes kids and isn’t a total creeper.
Will Emma be upset to see Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) and Danny or has that wound healed now that her biological family is intact? Will Nicolas and Cameron Spencer (Michael Leone) renew their rivalry for Emma’s heart once again?
Brooklyn’s return is welcome news. With Eden McCoy recast as Josslyn Jacks, may GH fans have feared a mass SORAS (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) of the entire set of younger kids on the show. Fingers crossed that Brooklyn reprising her Emma role is a sign that this won’t happen.
