Pamela Anderson is blasting the porn industry for being a dangerous influence on young men and women. In fact, Pamela Anderson has co-written an op-ed with a celebrity Rabbi calling porn a “public hazard of unprecedented seriousness.”
Pamela Anderson and Rabbi Schmuley Boteach are preaching “the addictive dangers of pornography” in an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal. In the post, they write that porn has a “corrosive effect on a man’s soul and on his ability to function as a husband, and by extension, as father. This is a public hazard of unprecedented seriousness given how freely available, anonymously accessible and easily disseminated pornography is nowadays. How many families will suffer? How many marriages will implode? How many talented men will scrap their most important relationships and careers for a brief onanistic thrill?”
Of course, there’s no doubting that the pornography industry has its dark side. Yet many critics are calling out Pamela Anderson by calling her a hypocrite for her op-ed piece. After all, the porn industry is the reason why Pamela Anderson is the famous and rich celebrity she is today. Everyone remembers Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s sex tape that was made while the ex-couple was still married.
Pamela Anderson’s sex tape was made on her honeymoon before it was stolen and leaked to the press. Pamela Anderson can preach the dangers of porn all she wants, even though she herself helped contribute to it by stimulating male fantasies with every chance she got. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have continued playing the seductive blonde image she’s known for after the world saw her intimate with Tommy Lee. Pamela Anderson became rich and famous off her sex tape and several nude photo shoots that have, of course, helped make her the household name she is today.
After all, Pamela Anderson’s reputation throughout the years has relied on her looks and her sexy Playboy bunny image. For Pamela Anderson to blast the porn industry makes her look like a hypocrite, especially when she herself has done very little besides using her body to make money and cash in her paychecks.
