The Voice’s Christina Aguilera Leaving NBC – Joining American Idol Reboot On FOX?

Is ‘The Voice’ coach Christina Aguilera joining the cast of the ‘American Idol’ reboot? American Idol just completed their final season – however after months of teasing that the show was over, TPTB at Idol teased that it was only over “for now” and they were already working on a reboot of the singing competition – promising a new and improved format.

Obviously they are going to need new celebs to serve as judges, and word on the internet is they may have nabbed ‘The Voice’ coach Christina Aguilera.

Christina Aguilera is currently serving as a coach on the current season of NBC’s ‘The Voice.’ But, recent Voice spoilers revealed that after this season Aguilera is out, and she has been replaced by Miley Cyrus. So, it stands to reason that Christina will be on the hunt for new employment – and what better place for her to go than another singing competition?

It’s no secret that Christina Aguilera’s feud with Gwen Stefani has made ‘The Voice’ set a hostile environment, and rumor has it that Christina walked because she was fed up with Blake Shelton and his new girlfriend. So, she may take an offer from FOX just to spite NBC, seeing as how she told them she wouldn’t work with Gwen again.

According to a report from OK! Magazine, “Aguilera has expressed interest in joining ‘American Idol’ as a judge now that rumors are growing that the show’s team is considering bringing it back for another season. It’s not that unlikely we could see another ‘American Idol’ season, because the ratings this year are better than they’ve been in years.”

Idol definitely needs a fresh look and fresh cast – Christina Aguilera could be exactly what FOX is looking for. And, she might even take some ‘Voice’ fans over to ‘Idol’ with her.
