Blake Shelton has finally decided that he wants to settle down with his long-time girlfriend, Gwen Stefani. And it looks like he might be asking for her hand in marriage during an episode of their hit reality competition show, ‘The Voice.’
According to an outtake from the show, fellow judge Alicia Keys brought up the idea of Blake getting down on one knee in front of their studio audience. Blake gave it a thought before saying, “Would that make you feel weird, Gwen?’ She responded that it would actually make her wildest dreams come true.
If Blake Shelton were to propose to Gwen Stefani on ‘The Voice,’ it would be a television moment that a lot of people would remember for a very long time. But then again, a lot of viewers don’t want to see Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani make the show all about them and their romance. After all, it’s called ‘The Voice,’ and not the Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Show. Plus, Blake and Gwen aren’t on ‘The Bachelor.’ Sure, some viewers tune in to see Blake and Gwen together but others want to see the actual talent that’s on the show.
Plus, there’s also the fact that Blake and Gwen’s critics have been calling their relationship a showmance for months now. If Blake were to propose to Gwen in front of the cameras, it would only prove their critics that they were right this entire time. Do Blake and Gwen really love each other or is there relationship just one huge publicity stunt for the show? That’s what fans want to know. Some even say that if Blake really truly loved Gwen, he would propose to her privately and not make it a televised event. Do you agree?
Then again, what’s been taking Blake so long to propose? Gwen has made it no secret that she wants to get married and possibly even get pregnant again soon. Now it’s up for Blake to make it happen for her.
So far Blake has not made any additional comments about his on-screen proposal. ‘The Voice’ airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8pm EST on the NBC network.
