Celebrity Big Brother US First Promo Video: What To Expect On Premier CBBUS Season

Celebrity Big Brother US spoilers tease that the upcoming celebrity version of the show might be even crazier than what we’ve seen in past seasons when CBBUS debuts on February 7, 2018. A new promo clip promises big drama along with unexpected twists and turns as the show’s producers are hoping for a huge ratings hit.

The short 11-second promo doesn’t show who will be in the house or what the contestants will be doing for that matter. Instead, it just gives fans short clips of moments from past seasons along with a smiling and excited Julie Chen, who will also host the series. The video says, “It’s the craziest house on television. But this February it will be filled with celebrities.”

CBBUS producers will also be making some significant changes for the upcoming season. Not only will the celebrity version be shorter than normal Big Brother seasons, but also there will only be 10 celebrities and two evictions per week. Reports say that many fans are already feeling disappointed that Celebrity Big Brother US will only have 13 episodes. Although, fans will also be able to tune in to the live feed using their CBS All Access accounts.

Recent reports also indicated that the producers of CBBUS don’t want to use celebrities who have had past reality television show experience. That means viewers won’t be seeing any Real Housewives or former Big Brother contestants for that matter. A cast announcement will be made in late January via CBS access.

While no one knows who will be joining the cast at this point, many believe that former NBA star Dennis Rodman and actor Gary Busey might be joining the show. What’s more, Spencer Pratt’s sister Stephanie Pratt, Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola of The Jersey Shore fame and even celebrity model and Rob Kardashian’s ex Blac Chyna have all expressed interest in joining the show.

Yet, producers have hinted that they also want to cast alternative celebrities like social media superstars and brand influencers for this season. It might be hard for producers to find any willing television stars and willing participants who haven’t had any past reality show experience.

Celebrity Big Brother US will make its debut on Wednesday February 7 at 8pm EST on the CBS network. In the meantime, don’t forget to check back with CDL for all the latest news, updates and spoilers on Celebrity Big Brother US and all of your favorite primetime television shows right here.
