Kate Middleton is once again feuding with Camilla Parker-Bowles over Princess Diana. The Duchess of Cambridge has had enough of all the snarky comments and insults about Princess Diana and her mental health while she was still married to Prince Charles.
Just like the Duchess, Princess Diana had a difficult time finding her place in the royal family. Apparently, Diana felt isolated right after Prince William was born in 1982. With no one to turn to, Diana felt as though she had to hide her feelings in front of the royal family. But she couldn’t do it for very long. She would openly cry in front of the royals, just for them to turn around and say that she was either unstable of mentally unbalanced.
Of course, Diana’s situation didn’t improve. Her husband Prince Charles began his alleged affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles in 1986. During that time, a lot of Charles’ friend and even Camilla supposedly commented on Diana’s mental state of mind. If that weren’t enough, Camilla supposedly even ridicules Diana about her mental health issues behind closed doors.
According to The Globe’s print edition, Kate Middleton was furious over the thought of someone like Camilla Parker-Bowles calling Diana mentally ill. Sure, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge might not have a perfect marriage, but she is fiercely protective of him and Princess Diana’s legacy.
Plus, Camilla is the last person who needs to make any comments about the late Princess Diana. After all, she was the third person in Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage.
But then again there’s a good possibility that all these years later Camilla might still be jealous of the attention that Princess Diana gets in the media. And with the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death in a few short months, the media will be talking more about her life and legacy. And for someone like Camilla, she’s over it. No matter how hard she tries to please the public or soften her image,
Camilla is always in either Princess Diana or Kate Middleton’s shadow. But at this point there’s not much she can do about it. Princess Diana will always be a part of the royal family’s history and as long as Kate Middleton is around, she won’t allow anyone to utter an awful word about Prince William’s late mother.
