Lea Michele Lands New Television Role After Failed Music Career: Fired From ‘Scream Queens,’ Thrown Into Hulu Series?

Lea Michele is concentrating on what she does best in her career and that’s television work. The former ‘Glee’ star has landed a new role in an untitled ABC comedy pilot. The show will star actor Brandon Micheal Hall as a rapper who runs for mayor as a publicity stunt. He ends up elected and finds out that he actually has skills for the job.

‘Hamilton’ star Daveed Diggs is the project’s executive producer. But that’s not the only show Lea’s working on. She’s also set to appear in a new Hulu anthology called ‘Dimension 404.’ In addition, Lea might not be coming back to ‘Scream Queens,’ even though it’s up for renewal. While insiders believe that the show will be picked up for another season, Lea might not be asked back.

So does this mean that we will be seeing Lea is focusing more on her television career these days? Maybe fans believe that might be the case, especially since she hasn’t managed to generate much publicity with her music career. Her first album, ‘Louder,’ was a commercial failure. Her first single, ‘Cannonball’ debuted at number 75 on the Billboard Hot 100. It only sold 51,000 copies in its first week.

What’s more, many believe that her upcoming album, ‘Places,’ might see the same results. Even though Lea claims that this album is more personal than her first one, fans aren’t showing much interest. They didn’t buy her first album and insiders believe that there’s a slim chance that they will be her second one. It’s mostly because of Lea Michele’s reputation as a diva. Many past reports indicated that she is supposedly a difficult person to work with behind-the-scenes. She tried to get her co-star Naya Rivera fired from ‘Glee,’ feuded with actress Kate Hudson, and was even snubbed by Jessica Lange at the ‘American Horror Story’ premiere back in 2014.
