The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that there’s some huge casting news to report. You might know Kiva Jump from her time on Mad Men, but she’ll be heading to Genoa City soon. Y&R watchers will look forward to seeing what kind of trouble her character will stir up. There’s no word yet on who Jump will play, but it sounds like an exciting role.
Gregory Thompson will also make an appearance on the CBS soap soon. The show isn’t offering details on this guest spot either, but we’ll keep you posted. Casey James Phillips will portray Tom the firefighter on November 3, so Y&R isn’t making fans guess on that one. Where there’s a firefighter, there’s sure to be a blaze as well!

In Y&R alum news, Justin Hartley’s (ex-Adam Newman) new movie is about to his theaters. Hartley plays Ty Swindle in A Bad Moms Christmas, which is set to be released on November 1. Of course, you can always catch Hartley weekly on NBC’s primetime drama, This Is Us. He’s getting a lot of gripping material in his role as Kevin Pearson.
Another Y&R alum is achieving success on the big screen. Thad Luckinbell (ex-J.T. Hellstrom) is featured in Only the Brave, which just hit theaters last weekend. The Young and the Restless fans also know Thad as Amelia Heinle’s (Victoria Newman) real-life ex-husband. The film follows the heartbreaking story of an elite firefighting team called the Granite Mountain Hotshots. This film’s all about courage, love and loss.
Only the Brave is based on true events and has earned stellar reviews with critics. If you decide to check it out, look for Luckinbell as Scott Norris. Former Young and the Restless star Kelly Sullivan (Sage Warner) also has a new movie coming out. She plays a real estate agent in Roman J. Israel, Esq.
This film features Denzel Washington in the lead role, so it’s obviously a big deal! Y&R fans can see this flick in theaters starting November 3. Those are some hot gigs for former cast members, but the current cast has juicy material coming up, too. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that some Emmy-worth scenes are ahead.
