The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) will get a big surprise. As B&B viewers know, Liam and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) recently annulled their marriage, but Liam wasn’t happy about the situation. He’d prefer to have stayed married, but Hope wanted him to go be a full-time dad to Kelly Spencer (Chloe Teperman and Zoe Pennington) and Phoebe Forrester (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez).
Liam still cares deeply about Hope, and he’s troubled by her developing relationship with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). Even though Liam and Hope aren’t married anymore, he still wants what’s best for Hope and he just knows that Thomas is up to no good. He thinks it’s creepy how Thomas is stalking Hope and using Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) to get close to her.
But Liam’s really going to be upset when he hears that Thomas popped the question to Hope, and that Hope actually said yes! According to B&B spoilers, Thomas will manipulate Douglas into asking Hope to marry his father and become his new mommy, and then Thomas will pick up the proposal from there. Ultimately, Hope will agree, and she and Thomas will become engaged.
And this won’t sit well with Liam. Liam has watched Thomas manipulate Hope’s feelings for weeks and use her maternal instincts for Douglas to get close to her. Liam can’t really prove it, but he knows that Thomas’ motives aren’t pure and that he’s obsessed with Hope in a very unhealthy way. He also doesn’t appreciate how Thomas actively sought to break up his marriage to Hope in the first place.
So, a distraught Liam will try to appeal to Hope about the situation. He’ll hope that he can talk some sense into her and at least get her to slow things down with Thomas. He’ll probably argue that it’s all happening too fast and that Hope may want to be on her own for a while before embarking on another marriage.
Of course, Hope will probably argue back that Liam seemed to move on with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) pretty quickly after the annulment, and that’s a good point. B&B spoilers say that Liam and Steffy will make love after Thomas drugs his rival’s drink, so it’s not like Liam hasn’t taken steps to move on with his own life. Hope will probably feel like she’s entitled to go on with her life without Liam’s interference.
At any rate, Liam will be in a pretty helpless situation. He’ll still love Hope and want to protect her from conniving and manipulative Thomas, but there will only be so much he can do. Really, all he can do is express his concerns to Hope and pray that he gets through to her before a wedding actually takes place.
And speaking of a wedding, surely Thomas will try to rush things and get Hope to the altar as soon as possible. That would be a very “Thomas” move, and it would set up an interesting situation for the upcoming reveal about Beth Spencer, whenever that happens. Imagine Hope finding out that the man she married actually knew that her daughter was alive and concealed it from her!
