The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will adopt a baby girl very soon. She’s been toying with the idea for a while now, but something is going to happen that will push her into immediate action.
Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) will let her know about a private adoption opportunity that has suddenly come up, thanks to Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady). On The Bold and the Beautiful episode airing Friday, January 11, Reese stunned Taylor when he emerged from his bedroom carrying a newborn baby.
All signs are pointing to this baby actually being Beth Spencer. It’s looking like Reese delivered Beth healthy but convinced Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) that Beth died.
Of course, whether this baby is actually Beth remains to be seen. It is always possible that Reese got his hands on another newborn. But we do have very strong evidence that Reese will arrange for Steffy to adopt the baby shown in Friday’s episode.
In the credits of Friday’s episode, a character named “Baby Phoebe” was listed, along with the names of two baby actors playing the part. The names of Rosalind Aune and Isabella De Armas were listed as portraying Baby Phoebe.
This is a major storyline clue, since Phoebe Forrester (MacKenzie Mauzy) was the name of Steffy’s twin sister who died in an automobile accident many years ago.
Phoebe is the reason why Steffy has wanted to adopt a sister for Kelly Spencer (Zoe Pennington and Chloe Teperman). Steffy wants Kelly to have a close sibling bond, just like she and Phoebe did growing up.
So, the fact that the infant appearing in Friday’s episode is named Baby Phoebe in the credits can only point to one thing: That Steffy will indeed adopt this baby and name her Phoebe after her late sister. No other explanation makes sense.
Of course, if the baby who will come to be known as Phoebe actually does turn out to be Beth, there’s another clear and separate storyline element, and that’s that Reese is going to be in a world of trouble when the truth comes out. He’ll not only be in legal trouble, but he’ll have both the Forresters and the Spencers out for blood.
