The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Rey’s Game-Changing Testimony – Sharon Acquitted of Murder But Victoria and Nikki Go Down

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) will call a crucial witness to the stand. Y&R fans know Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) has been taking serious heat for ratting out the others and taking an immunity deal, but she’s not the only one who blabbed. Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) weepy confession is what got them all into this mess.

Of course, Sharon made that confession to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) under very emotional circumstances. That’s why Brittany will count on Rey’s testimony to help. For starters, Rey shouldn’t have been snooping through Sharon’s papers that night. He saw the April phone bill, took a closer look and determined that Sharon made a 911 call the night J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) disappeared.

However, the bigger issue is that Rey had just declared love for Sharon moments before. She returned that love declaration and they were ready to plan their future together. Rey is married to Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) and has agreed to get their relationship back on track for the fake baby’s sake. It’s going to look like Rey’s love profession to Sharon seemingly meant nothing.

That’s exactly what Brittany’s hoping anyway! She’ll grill Rey on the witness stand and get him to admit he indeed told Sharon he loved her. Brittany will also push Rey to admit that he only did it to make Sharon tell him the truth. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey will face an incredibly difficult decision.

Rey was all about doing things by the book after Sharon came clean about J.T.’s death, but he gave Mia a pass for her violent actions. Perhaps the situation with Mia will shift Rey’s way of thinking. It’s clear that Rey indeed has deep feelings for Sharon, but it would help her significantly if he lies. Rey would give Brittany’s defense the boost it needs.

Will Rey fib that he used his love confession to manipulate Sharon? Time will tell, but The Young and the Restless spoilers say Brittany may have a stronger case than Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) have quite a reputation attached to them thanks to their close connection to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Christine (Lauralee Bell) would love to take down all three of them, but it’s undoubtedly the Newmans she really wants to lock up. Sharon comes off as more sympathetic in all of this. She’s been the weakest link the whole time, so it might be fitting if Sharon gets off the hook for J.T.’s murder while Nikki and Victoria go down.

They’ll all be convicted of something – even if it’s just obstruction of justice – but Sharon might be acquitted on the homicide charges. She could at least face a softer punishment than the others. Regardless, it should be interesting to see how Rey’s testimony affects Sharon’s outcome.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say the trial excitement is about to rev up, so stay tuned. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in. Stick with the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates, and news.
