The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, December 19, tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will have revenge on her mind. She’ll contemplate seeking vengeance, but who will be her potential target? Phyllis will have two good ones thanks to Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) decision to fire her and Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) latest proposition.
In Tuesday’s episode, Adam contends that Phyllis should go after what she wants. He stuns Phyllis by implying that she should seduce Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and satisfy both their agendas. An outraged Phyllis insists Adam has made a mistake he’ll regret – and she nearly rats him out to Nick soon after.
Will Phyllis mull it over a bit more and decide she shouldn’t take the high road after all? That’s one option since Phyllis will consider payback on Thursday. There’ll surely be someone she wants to go after, and it could easily be Adam. Telling Nick what his brother’s been up to would blow things up in a big way. Nick would undoubtedly spill the beans to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), so all the progress Adam’s made would go up in smoke.
However, it seems Phyllis will hold off on hitting Adam where it hurts. Deep down, Phyllis may know Adam’s right about her wanting a “Phick” reunion. Exposing Adam would just push Chelsea back in Nick’s direction, so it’s not in Phyllis’ best interest to share that.
Of course, Abby is another potential revenge target, but Phyllis doesn’t seem focused on her at the moment. It might be something she circles back to later, but Phyllis may have other goals to accomplish first. Whatever the case, Phyllis will have a lot to think about in Thursday’s Y&R episode.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will reach a decision of her own. On Wednesday, Elena discovers the dossier on Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and suddenly becomes fearful about all her dangerous secrets. It looks like Elena and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will discuss that dossier on Thursday, so that could bring some tension.
Part of Elena will be upset that Devon hid this file, but another part of her may understand. After all, Elena made peace with Amanda and has been insisting she doesn’t have to be their enemy. Now that Elena knows Amanda’s hiding things, she should be more inclined to support Devon and his fight to get the secretive attorney out of town. Her decision could involve a plan to make that happen.
Unfortunately, Amanda truly seems to be a victim in all this. She’s obviously running from a dangerous man – her ex-fiancé, Ripley Turner. They filed restraining orders against each other, but Ripley’s was probably just done in retaliation.
Amanda’s been panicking over the tracker and hinting at the monster within during her chats with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon and Elena could cause chaos for Amanda if they aren’t careful! We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
