The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) are inching toward a reunion. Billy would like nothing more than to immediately rekindle the romance with Victoria, after spending a cozy family Christmas with her. But Victoria wants to take it slowly, in an abundance of caution.
Despite wanting to take things slowly, Victoria can certainly see the appeal of getting back together with Billy. He’s familiar and comfortable, and it would be great for their kids, assuming they could make the relationship last long-term.
Billy can see the appeal of Victoria as well. His last relationship with Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) was highly emotional and volatile, with some serious on-going highs and lows. But with Victoria, Billy can be more stable and even-keel.
It’s certainly looking like these two will slowly forge a new relationship together, and things will probably go smoothly for a while. But sooner or later, they’ll have to face some serious obstacles in the form of secrets that Victoria is keeping.
First off, there’s Victoria’s recent kiss with Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard), which occurred on the very same day that Billy and Victoria kissed. Y&R spoilers indicate that the kiss between Cane and Victoria will come back to haunt them. While they vowed to never breathe a word about the kiss to anyone, Cane is already mumbling about confessing the whole thing to Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil).
If Cane does confess the kiss, or if he decides to tell anyone else about it, then at some point it will probably get back to Billy, and Billy won’t be happy about it. This could certainly threaten Billy and Victoria’s reunion, but it probably wouldn’t break them up. Victoria could just explain that she was under stress and that the kiss was a mistake that never happened again.
But there’s another secret that Victoria’s been keeping that may indeed break up any burgeoning reunion between her and Billy, and that’s the JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) murder secret. Y&R spoilers say that the truth about JT’s death will eventually come out, and that the cover-up crew’s actions will be exposed.
And Billy will probably have a big problem with Victoria’s twisted alliance with Phyllis, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). When it comes out that the cover-up crew conspired to cover up a death, buried a body, and lied to everyone for months, he’ll be horrified and may wonder if he ever knew Victoria in the first place.
It’s hard to imagine Billy or anyone wanting to forge a relationship with someone who could do all of the horrible things that Victoria has done related to JT’s death. It will certainly give him pause and be a romance killer.
Plus, once the truth comes out about JT and the cover-up crew’s actions, Victoria will probably be in no mood to even think about furthering a relationship. It may just end any chance she and Billy had of rekindling things.
