Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that one NBC soap star is facing a tough loss. Greg Vaughan recently confirmed his exit as Eric Brady, so DOOL fans are bracing for Eric’s upcoming final episode. Vaughan’s still got plenty of scenes left to air, so there’ll be time for viewers to make peace with this goodbye. However, Vaughan’s been struggling with a far more somber farewell in his personal life.
On Instagram, Vaughan shared some sad news with his followers. The Days star’s good friend, Matt Mogol, has passed away. Cancer was the cause of death according to Page Six, so this is certainly heartbreaking to hear.
Nevertheless, Vaughan’s focusing on the joy Mogol brought to his life and choosing to be grateful for the time he had with his pal.”
“To my dear friend Matt!” Vaughan said in his Instagram post. “I am grateful for all your wisdom, support, laughter & the adventures we’ve shared! Our friendship was always an open door I forever will cherish, with countless hours of conversation & our paths to fatherhood was inspiring!”
Vaughan went on to talk about what a great man Mogol was and insisted he would be missed. Mogol was clearly an important part of Vaughan’s circle of friends, but they all plan to keep Mogol’s spirit alive and raise a glass when they gather in his honor.
Vaughan naturally received many messages of sympathy from Days viewers. It’s always tough to lose a loved one, but Vaughan’s in good spirits and undoubtedly thankful for the continued support of his fans.
On a happier note, Vaughan’s been spending some quality time with his sons lately on a mountain adventure. Since Vaughan talked about Mogol having an inspiring path to fatherhood as well, his friend would definitely approve. Vaughan clearly has a close bond with his boys, so that’s always nice to see.
As for what’s next in Salem, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) will make it back from their honeymoon. Thanks to Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) adoption meddling, Nicole and Eric will get stuck in Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) drama once again.
