Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Ciara Brady Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) story could shift based on some other comings and goings news. As most Days fans have probably heard by now, Kristian Alfonso has already filmed her final scenes and won’t be back to film additional ones.
Alfonso’s last episode is set to air in October, but it wasn’t supposed to be her last! There were still several scripts Alfonso was supposed to shoot before taking an extended break from the show and returning a few months later.
Of course, plans changed since Alfonso decided to exit the role of Hope completely – and that means any plans regarding Ciara could change, too.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Victoria Konefal is on recurring, so she’ll be back for return stints if her schedule allows. Since there was no trace of Ciara’s remains in the car that exploded, she’s obviously alive – and Hope intends to find her. The problem is that Hope can’t pull that off without Alfonso returning to film.
Alfonso was promised that DOOL wouldn’t recast the role of Hope, so where does that leave us? Perhaps it means a different hero will have to emerge to save Ciara.
This might be a blessing in disguise since Ben should really be the one to track Ciara down anyway. There’s always been a theme of Ben and Ciara saving each other, so Ben’s up next!
Hope’s exit will likely tie in with this Ciara search, but Ben may have to take the lead after Hope goes missing or is presumed dead. Days may hope they can lock Konefal in for a substantial return stint down the road. It’d be great to see Konefal come back for a lengthy arc like Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady DiMera).
Now that DOOL has offered this sign of hope, it’d doubtful they’ll yank it away. The plan certainly seems to be for Ciara to return alive and reunite with Ben a few months from now. Instead of Hope bringing Ciara home, it may have to be Ben who takes the journey and makes a “Cin” reunion happen.
Naturally, that reunion may not stick since Konefal doesn’t intend to be a full-time cast member again, but there’s always a chance that she’ll change her mind.
If not, maybe Days can secure enough return appearances to keep “Cin” going strong for a while. Ben and Ciara deserve some happiness after everything they’ve been through just to be together!
