Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that there’s someone Robert Scott Wilson (Ben Weston) would like to share more scenes with – someone who’s returning to the show! As most DOOL fans have heard by now, Marci Miller will be reprising the role of Abigail DiMera. Miller’s once again stepping up as Abigail recast, so she’ll fill in for Kate Mansi when Abby comes home.
That brings us to Wilson’s comments in a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest. Wilson was asked a question about former Days costars and who he wished he could’ve worked with more. “Marci Miller,” Wilson said. “I only got to work with her a little bit, but when I did, it was really great.”
Although Wilson had plenty of material with Mansi, he didn’t have a ton of scenes with Miller’s version. Nevertheless, Wilson had a blast acting alongside Miller and would like to do it again. “She was fun to work with, but we didn’t get to explore that much because Abigail changed hands a couple times.”
Of course, Abigail’s changing hands once more now that this recast news has been confirmed. Maybe Wilson will get his wish and share additional airtime with Miller. Ben and Abigail are always going to have a complicated relationship due to their wild history.
These two have both battled mental illness and tried to set each other on fire, so it’s intriguing whenever they cross paths.
It’s hard to imagine Abigail and Ben ever reuniting as a couple considering everything that’s happened between them. Abigail adores Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Ben adores Ciara, so those are still the pairings to root for.
However, it might be interesting if Ben and Abigail became friends or at least got more closure for Abby’s sake. Since Ben appeared in Abigail’s latest hallucinations, she clearly has some fears left in the back of her mind.
Ben tormented Abigail and drove her off the deep end, but he’s a changed man. It’d be nice if Ben and Abigail could interact more now that Ben’s one of the good guys. Maybe Days of Our Lives could even come up with a mission for Abigail and Ben to team up on. Turning former enemies into allies can be an excellent soap trope.
Regardless, it’s sweet of Wilson to give Miller a shoutout for being so great to work with! Let’s hope Ben and Abigail land in each other’s orbit down the road. As other Days details come in, we’ll provide updates.
