General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a big comeback may be brewing. There have certainly been plenty of Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) mentions since his presumed death in 2016, but things just feel different lately.
Unlike other times when Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and her loved ones have just been thinking of Morgan fondly, this truly feels like a setup for Morgan’s return.
In fact, we’d say it’s very likely that Morgan’s comeback is already in the works. This is VERY reminiscent of when all the Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) hints started revving up.
You could just feel the shift, right? General Hospital was mentioning Dante more often and in significant ways. It wasn’t long until those clues added up to Dante making his GH return and now he’s a huge part of the canvas again.
It looks like Morgan is next in line, so let’s talk about what’s in store for him if Bryan Craig indeed reprises his familiar role. Of course, a recast is a possibility as well, but the point is Morgan is most likely coming home! This brings the chance for some Morgan to reconnect with his family and find new love in Port Charles.
Let’s face it: the usual love quad has gotten stale. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattson) all have some complicated feelings, but this is something GH writers will surely want to move on from soon.
No one has any kind of edge here. There’s nothing overly exciting about the vying hearts in this scenario.
Michael and Willow’s marriage seems poised to survive, so they may need another challenge to tackle as a couple. This would be an excellent opportunity to form a new love triangle.
Michael and Morgan have been known to fight over women in the past, so maybe GH could set up another competition for Willow’s heart.
Let’s say Morgan has actually been staying away by choice. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) told Cameron Webber (William Lipton) that if Morgan turned up alive, she’d wonder where he’d been all this time and why he’d let his family suffer.
Those are certainly questions Michael would wonder as well.
We might see a blame game play out if Morgan had his reasons for keeping his survival a secret. Something similar happened with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), so it’s easy to imagine Morgan having to explain himself, too.
If Michael lashes out and refuses to forgive Morgan, Willow might step in and try to help the brothers. It could present an interesting chance for Willow to grow closer to Morgan and make Morgan drawn to her in return.
