General Hospital Spoilers: Steve Burton Hints GH To Start Filming New Episodes Next After B&B

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a popular GH actor, Steve Burton, has weighed in on his desire for the show to get up and filming, much like B&B has recently done. Steve Burton, who portrays Jason Morgan on the ABC soap, made a comment on Twitter this morning in reaction to a tweet all about B&B’s return to production.

In case you haven’t heard, the Bold and the Beautiful has returned to production today, Wednesday, June 17th. On Monday, cast and crew were tested for COVID-19, and things have been moving forward since then. The plan is for filming to begin today, with strict safety protocols in place to protect the cast and crew during this time.

B&B is the first soap, and the first broadcast show, to return to production, and now it seems that Steve Burton would like to get General Hospital back up and running too. Steve retweeted an announcement about B&B’s return and a link to an article about the situation, along with the following question: “Are we next???”

Well, fans have been weighing in with replies to Steve’s tweet. One person replied: “I hope so but if it takes a while longer to make sure the cast is as safe as possible, then I’m good with that, too.” And another person said: “I sure hope so – miss you guys!” Finally, common commented: “Fingers crossed – I miss you on my screen!”

Of course, fans haven’t been without General Hospital as long as they’ve been without B&B and Y&R, but still it’s been too long since fans have seen new GH episodes, and everyone wants to see what’s going to happen with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Nelle Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) custody hearing, Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) final days, and Jordan Ashford’s (Briana Nicole Henry) battle with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

Of course, once General Hospital does get up and running, it will likely be with all of the same safety measures in place that B&B has announced it will be following.

Since the measures were agreed upon by various Hollywood guilds, Los Angeles County, and other agencies, the safety measures for GH will probably match the measures that B&B’s cast and crew are following.

Among those measures are regular ongoing testing for COVID-19, staggered call times, fewer actors on set at any given time, and the use of masks at all times except when filming.

And in a move that many fans and actors have found humorous, B&B’s executive producer Brad Bell even said that the show might use blowup dolls for certain love scenes.

At any rate, we’ll be sure to keep you informed about any additional GH news as it comes in, especially as it relates to the show going back into production. Let’s hope we see the General Hospital cast and crew back in action soon! Stay tuned to the ABC soap and don’t forget to keep CDL bookmarked for the latest General Hospital spoilers and news.
