The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will continue to fall hard for John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). Finn and Steffy have already declared love for each other, which is a big deal considering we haven’t even seen a first official date yet!
Steffy and Finn are just caught up in what they’re feeling, so it’s sweet to see them so smitten.
Of course, Finn and Steffy will make love soon if all goes well. The Bold and the Beautiful can even use Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) mental health crisis to draw Steffy and Finn closer.
As Finn helps solve the mystery of Thomas’ issues, Steffy can show her gratitude and lean on Finn as her brother gets treatment.
All of this creates a pretty drama-free love story for Finn and Steffy, which is OK as long as they’re still building up the couple. However, some conflict will have to strike eventually.
B&B will have to put some obstacles in Steffy and Finn’s path. It’s the only way to establish some depth and make sure “Sinn” has a gripping storyline moving forward.
An easy way to create some friction would be to add a romantic rival for Steffy. There’s also plenty of untapped Finn history to explore. B&B viewers don’t know much about Finn’s background yet, but the show should offer some details sooner or later.
Maybe an ex of Finn’s could even enter the picture and check off all the right drama boxes here.
That’s especially true since Jacqueline MacInnes Wood will need to take her maternity leave down the road. Perhaps Steffy could take an extended business trip for Forrester Creations and come home to find that Finn’s looking awfully cozy with a former flame!
Whatever the case, we should consider the idea that B&B might add an ex-girlfriend or even an ex-fiancée at some point. Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) turned out to be Wyatt Spencer’s (Darin Brooks) high school sweetheart, so maybe Finn will get an ex, too.
If so, B&B will want to cast a strong actress – maybe even a name that’s familiar with a lot of buzz surrounding it. What about Emme Rylan, who’s been fired as Lulu Spencer on General Hospital?
Many GH fans are still reeling over the shocking casting decision and feel it’s unfair to cut Rylan loose. Rylan intends to take a road trip with her family and explore for a while, but she’ll need a job when she returns to Los Angeles and settles down again.
Rylan might be the perfect fit if The Bold and the Beautiful decides to cast a former flame for Finn. It’s worth mentioning that Rylan used to play Abby Newman on The Young and the Restless before Melissa Ordway took over.
Rylan’s an old member of the CBS soap family, so it’s reasonable to think she could be a contender if B&B needs a woman from Finn’s past.
