The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, April 20 Review - Amanda & Billy Can’t Hide Attraction - Theo Busted & Fired

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Monday, April 20, tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will wake up together in Kyle’s suite. They’ll discuss how today’s the big “pitch day” at Jabot during which Kyle and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will present their Jabot rebranding ideas. Kyle and Summer will wonder whether Theo took their bait and swiped the presentation they put on the server.

Meanwhile, at Jabot, Theo will disconnect from a call with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), then greet Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) as he walks into the boardroom. Theo will ask if Jack has any advice for him, and Jack will tell him to be himself and he’ll do fine.

Later, Kyle and Summer will walk in, and Kyle and Theo will trade barbs. Summer will ask the men to shake hands, which they’ll be doing when Jack walks in.

Theo will squawk about Summer staying for the pitches, but Kyle will say that he was free to use any available resources at his disposal…just like Theo was free to use employees for help. Theo will take note of that comment, then he’ll start his presentation, which will be for a concept called “Jabot Back 2 Basics.”

Afterwards, Jack will ask Theo to explain where this concept came from, and Theo will make something up. Jack will call out Theo, saying that the pitch actually is one of his own from 15 years ago, and that Theo gave the whole thing nearly word for word. Jack will blast Theo, wondering if Theo thought that he wouldn’t notice.

At this point, Theo will blurt out, “Kyle and Summer set me up!” Jack will demand answers, and Kyle and Summer will explain how they laid the bait and Theo willingly took it. Theo will then dig his hole deeper by saying that everyone in the Abbott family has done something shady.

Jack will be outraged, and Theo will insist that he deserves a second chance. Jack will leave the decision up to Kyle, and Kyle will promptly fire Theo on the spot.

Theo will joke around, thinking that Kyle is kidding, but Kyle will threaten to call security, so Theo will voluntarily leave. After, Kyle will give his pitch, and Jack will love it. Kyle and Summer will celebrate with champagne, as Kyle remarks that Theo got what he deserved.

Theo will head to the Abbott estate, where he’ll visit with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), telling her that he was an idiot, and that he wishes she had known him back in his New York days. Theo will sadly tell Dina that he may have just screwed himself out of a job AND a family.

Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Monday, April 20, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will show up at the New Hope Clinic to see Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

Amanda and Nate will be flirting when Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) arrives and says they have an emergency coming in. Amanda will take off, and later she and Nate will meet at the Grand Phoenix for drinks before lunch.

Amanda and Nate will continue to enjoy each other’s company, and Amanda will note that someone who likes living on the edge recently taught her something about enjoying life. Amanda will note that the message was lost on her at the time, but now that her life is truly her own again, she’s going to seize it all.

Amanda and Nate will head over to Society for lunch, where they’ll encounter Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) at a table. Lily will call them over, and Nate will learn about the very generous offer that Amanda received from Chancellor Communications.

Billy and Amanda will look at each other happily but uncomfortably, and Lily will walk off with Nate to chat. Billy will be charged with convincing Amanda to accept the job offer. Amanda will sit with Billy while Nate is off with Lily, and Billy and Amanda will enjoy their comfortable rapport.

Billy will give a big pitch, and Amanda will agree, as long as Chancellor Communications meets a few more demands. Billy and Amanda will smile at each other happily.

Later, Billy and Amanda will join Lily and Nate, and Amanda will tell Lily that she’s taking the job. Lily will be ecstatic, and she’ll welcome Amanda aboard, as Billy and Amanda smile at each other again. Later, as Amanda is dining at a table with Nate, she’ll glance over at Billy and the two will share a look.

It seems pretty clear that Amanda and Billy aren’t completely beyond their attraction to each other. Even though Amanda and Billy have decided to just be coffee buddies and now work partners, it seems like there’s still a lingering attraction. We’ll see how this plays out as Billy and Amanda start to work together at Chancellor Communications.
