The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that two major players, Sasha Calle (Lola Rosales) and Tyler Johnson (Theo Vanderway), are both reportedly on their way out, so let’s consider what we know so far. The departure paths are becoming quite clear based on Lola and Theo’s storylines.
First, let’s talk about Lola. Y&R fans know Lola decided to open up a restaurant in Miami, which left Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) worried about losing Society’s chef and a close friend. Lola assured Abby that she could travel back and forth, but why? What was the point of this Miami restaurant?
We’d say it was an exit strategy for Lola – one the show’s pulling the trigger on now. Lola recently received a call about some crisis with her new restaurant, so she left town to go handle it. Although Lola wanted Theo to be waiting for her when she got back, will Lola even return at all?
Since Y&R sometimes films out of order, it’s tough to nail down when Calle shot these pre-Miami trip scenes and whether any others will follow. It’d be nice if Lola could say goodbye to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) as well as Abby, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
Theo also deserves an in-person farewell, even if it’s a somewhat angry one. That brings us to why Lola could end up angry with Theo – and how he’ll presumably exit the show.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Theo will get caught stealing a 15-year-old pitch thanks to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will recognize his own work from a decade and a half ago, so Theo will be given the boot from the company.
In the April 16 episode of Y&R, Mariah makes a statement that seems significant. After pointing out that this is Theo’s last chance to impress Jack, Mariah eventually suggests Theo’s making excuses in advance in case he loses.
Theo notes that he has no intention of losing, which leads to Mariah’s ominous comment. She asks, “Without all the glory and the dreams of Jabot, what do you really have?”
What DOES Theo really have without Jabot – and Lola since this Miami restaurant’s calling her away? There’s nothing much left for Theo in Genoa City, so it’s easy to see all the pieces coming together for Theo’s exit. He’ll receive the news that he’s been fired and may learn Lola’s moving to Miami so she can handle this restaurant full-time.
All of that could lead to Theo’s departure decision. He may head back to New York and hope for a brighter future since things are so rotten in GC. Y&R’s giving Theo absolutely no reason to stick around.
Bottom line, Lola should be done airing soon if she isn’t already. Theo’s exit should quickly follow since his life’s becoming such a dumpster fire. The Young and the Restless spoilers say the writing’s on the wall – and it’s backed up by insider info.
