The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of September 28-October 2 teases that some surprises are in store. First, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will have some big news for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) – and it’ll be about the antique emerald necklace that was spotted in Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) old home movie.
Traci may have tracked it down or at least taken the first step toward that goal. Of course, there are really two mysteries here: Where is the necklace AND why does it matter so much to Dina? Traci won’t have all the answers, but she’ll be off to a nice start.
By the end of the week, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will share something with Jack that should help him focus on the right angle. The Young and the Restless spoilers say this necklace has romantic significance, so it’ll eventually tie in with Dina and John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) early love story.
Over with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), she’ll pay Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) a visit at the ranch. Victoria will call Victor out for saving Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), even when her brother doesn’t deserve it.
“Adam’s a threat. He’s always been a threat,” Victoria insists in Y&R’s weekly promo. “But I’m sure you’re gonna rescue him before he does anything dangerous or deadly.” Victoria throws in an eyeroll to show she’s truly fed up with Victor’s stance on Adam.
“If ‘Billy Boy’ Abbott is involved, he would love nothing more than to destroy my company – and me,” Victor replies. Of course, Victoria won’t particularly care about how Victor fares. Since Victor goes out of his way to protect Adam and not Victoria, she’ll feel no obligation to protect her father now.
As for the company part, Victoria will feel confident she can handle any bumps in the road. Now that Victoria’s running Newman Enterprises, she won’t be afraid of whatever gets thrown at her.
Of course, Chancellor Communications could face the most trouble thanks to what Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is about to do.
After Adam warns Victor that this story’s about to blow, Victor will deliver a warning of his own to Billy. However, Billy will ignore it and hit send on Alyssa Montalvo’s (Maria DiDomenico) “The Making of a Monster” story.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will freak when the story’s published without her approval, so Y&R fans can expect a fierce faceoff and a serious Chance Comm scandal.
