Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Isabel Durant may be out as Claire Brady based on what we’re hearing from insiders, so a major DOOL exit could be ahead. There are some rumblings about Claire departing the canvas, especially since there’s been no sign of Durant on set lately.
Whenever the show scores a renewal, this kind of thing tends to happen. There are always a few casting cuts as Days tries to tighten the purse strings.
It makes sense that Durant might be on the chopping block since Claire basically exists to be Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) friend at this point.
DOOL hasn’t been giving Claire much to do other than support Ben and get caught up in Jan Spears’ (Heather Lindell) drama.
Now that Jan is out of the picture for the time being and Ben’s set to reunite with Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) this summer, where does that leave Claire?
It could mean Claire will be written out – at least for a while. Most characters tend to come back sooner or later, so Claire could pop up again after the character’s rested for a bit.
Of course, that could involve Durant, another recast or even the return of Olivia Rose Keegan (ex-Claire Brady) if the show can make something work with her schedule.
Regardless, it looks like Isabel Durant may be leaving Days in the not-too-distant future. Claire could go off the rails again and land back at Bayview, but it’s also possible she’ll go back to Hong Kong or seek a fresh start elsewhere.
Perhaps seeing Ben and Ciara get their new beginning will push Claire to seek one of her own.
Once Ben’s back together with Ciara and doesn’t need constant comfort anymore, what’s Claire going to do? Claire might spend some time patching things up with Ciara, but there won’t be much else to accomplish.
Since there’s no hint of Days casting a new love interest for Claire, she’d lift out of the canvas rather easily.
Although there’s no confirmation on Isabel Durant exiting as Claire just yet, it seems likely based on what we’re hearing from insiders. As other news comes in, we’ll bring you updates.
