General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, December 16, teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will mull over a dream come true while Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) realizes he’s crossed the line with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow). Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will also confess to Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), so let’s talk about what’s ahead in Port Charles.
First, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will have a discussion with Carly about fulfilled dreams.
Perhaps Olivia will point out that Carly’s own dream came true when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) came back from the dead. Likewise, Carly helped Sonny’s mystery woman dreams become a reality.
Without knowing the full story of what’s going on at GH, Olivia might hold out hope that Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) can get a happily ever after for their family.
Of course, for every happy ending there’s a sad one – like when Carly received word that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) perished on Cassadine Island.
Sometimes the only way forward is to make peace with a terrible outcome. That’s the situation that Sasha and Brando are facing right now.
Brando is going through the stages of grief, so he’ll swing back to denial as he opens up to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Since Sasha doesn’t want to give up hope when it comes to her baby, Brando will suggest maybe he shouldn’t give up hope either. Nina may help Brando see that he has to be the rational one and guide Sasha toward acceptance.
That’s something Sonny will pitch in on as well. Sonny will console a weepy Sasha while Liam remains hooked up to machines in the NICU. Liam can’t survive off a ventilator and will never have any quality of life due to his lack of brain activity.
Once Sonny understands all that, he’ll offer a lesson about love and loss. If Sasha truly listens to her heart and does what’s best for Liam, she’ll know she has to say goodbye.
It’s all about letting that love guide Sasha, who’ll need to come to grips with Liam’s imminent death.
Back with Carly, she’ll ultimately head to GH and check on Sasha as well. Meanwhile, Olivia will deal with some anxiety as she meets up with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).
There’ll be some awkwardness as Olivia and Ned keep working on their marriage, but their focus will soon be on Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) and his specialist appointment.
Ned and Olivia will likely get confirmation that Leo’s on the spectrum, but an autism diagnosis could help them nail down some strategies to help Leo communicate.
As for Finn, he’ll get honest with Liz and hope she can do the same. Finn will see the potential for them to take the dating plunge and get to know each other on a deeper level.
Despite Liz’s lingering love for Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and all her messy emotions, Finn may suggest he doesn’t mind and is always a bit of a mess himself. These two just have to push past all the confusion and doubts to see if they can find a bright future together.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) are also dancing around their feelings, but maybe getting trapped in the steam room together will help.
The door is jammed and Brook Lynn is already sweating up a storm, so Chase will encourage her to shed some clothing.
Brook Lynn will realize Chase is pushing her to strip down, but he may argue that it’s for practical purposes. Still, some steamy moments wearing next to nothing could nudge these two out of the friend zone.
This could set the stage for some passion, even if it’s down the road once Chase and Brook Lynn’s desires grow stronger.
Until then, it looks like Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will get summoned to an emergency meeting with Stella Henry (Vernee Watson). This will surely tie in with Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) and the secrets Stella’s hiding with him.
At the boxing gym, TJ will put Curtis on full blast. Since TJ’s willing to give Marshall a chance to prove himself, he won’t be happy about Curtis trying to scare him off.
It isn’t Curtis’ place to intervene in TJ’s opinion, so he’ll lash out and make it clear that Curtis needs to respect boundaries.
General Hospital spoilers say Curtis will keep trying to do what’s best for his family, but it’ll become increasingly difficult to figure out what that is!
