The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a big day may be coming up for Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Y&R fans know Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) recently underwent a procedure that resulted in 10 eggs being harvested.
Mariah found out the eggs were being fertilized, so Abby’s done her part.
Now it’s just up to the doctors and Mariah to turn this dream into a reality. Before Mariah left the Chancellor mansion, it dawned on her that she might be pregnant with Abby’s baby the next time they saw each other.
At this point, Mariah is excited about helping Abby and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) start their family. Mariah still seems all in on being the gestational carrier.
There have been some minor concerns related to the surrogacy contract and what Mariah’s getting herself into, but Mariah knows what a huge deal this is to Abby.
It appears Mariah truly wants to make this grand gesture, so are Y&R writers actually going through with this? Plenty of Young and the Restless fans have voiced objections to the story, but the show’s certainly giving a lot of airtime to this hot plot and moving things along.
If Mariah keeps her end of the bargain, she could indeed find herself pregnant with Abby’s baby soon. Following Mariah’s own procedure as the next step in this process, she’ll have to wait to see if it worked.
Assuming that Mariah doesn’t back out at the last second, it’ll become a waiting game to see if she’s indeed got Abby’s bun in the oven.
Of course, Mariah getting pregnant is the whole point of this surrogacy, so there’ll be a pregnancy test and confirmation one way or the other. If Mariah indeed winds up expecting Abby’s baby, it shouldn’t be long until morning sickness hits.
Mariah has repeatedly brought up morning sickness as something she’s prepared for, even if she’s not looking forward to it!
Although Mariah knows she’ll have to make sacrifices and endure a rough time, she’s currently prepared to do whatever it takes to make sure Abby and Chance have a child to raise.
