The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) may deliver Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) baby when the time comes, so he could help bring Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) child into the world. The doc’s next GC visit could be revealed as an important one that’ll change lives and complicate Abby’s family plans.
Let’s think about this for a moment. It’s kind of random for Stitch to reenter the picture unless it means something. What’s the point of Stitch popping back up and reconnecting with Abby?
After interacting at Crimson Lights in the Friday, June 25 episode, Stitch will stop by the Chancellor mansion later with a baby gift during the week of June 28-July 2.
Stitch will then leave town again, but for how long? Something tells us this won’t be the last we see of Stitch, especially since Y&R spoilers insist Stitch never really got over Abby and hasn’t moved on with anyone new.
They could’ve written it so Stitch was happy and thriving in a new relationship, but that’s not what the writers chose to do. Stitch is basically still pining for Abby, so that means something.
The show’s setting the stage for Stitch to return once again and perhaps play a crucial role in building Abby’s family.
Since Stitch is a doctor and Mariah will have a baby to deliver eventually, it’s a no-brainer for Stitch to help out with that.
Perhaps there’ll be some situation where Mariah goes into labor and can’t get to a hospital in time. It makes sense for Stitch to be in Genoa City for another visit when that happens.
Stitch could make sure the birth goes as smoothly as possible under the circumstances. It could bring some sweet moments as Stitch eventually hands Abby her newborn son.
If Chance Chancellor (last played by Donny Boaz) misses the birth, that’s even better – at least in terms of pushing Stitch and Abby back together as a couple.
Regardless, this Stitch visit feels like more than a matter of filling airtime. There’s something significant about it, so there’s a good chance more Stitch visits are brewing. We’ll provide updates as other Y&R news emerges.
