The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, September 16 Recap – Connor Says Adam Always Chooses Sharon – Sally to the Rescue

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, September 16, tease that Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) will say Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) chooses Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) over and over. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will also come to the rescue, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.

At home, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will stand her ground despite Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) insistence that something doesn’t feel right.

Nick will push Victoria to admit it’s weird that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) won’t even tell his real name and will feel like secrets usually lead to more secrets.

Victoria will eventually concede that she’s caught herself wondering if she should know more about Ashland’s past – if maybe the other shoe’s going to drop. However, Victoria will hate feeling that way and will try to blame everyone else for planting doubts.

Nick will think it’s Victoria herself who has questions, so she’ll admit he’s right.

After Victoria suggests it’s cold feet, she’ll push for Nick’s silence on everything they’ve discussed.

At ChancComm, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will make it clear that he’s not going to stop digging. Ashland will argue that Billy doesn’t want him for an enemy and will warn that he’s only going to alienate Victoria.

Ashland won’t imagine that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) likes Billy spending so much energy on undermining his ex’s engagement either.

After Ashland argues that Billy’s digging will be a futile endeavor, Billy will wonder what Ashland intends to do to stop him. Ashland will ominously insist that Billy doesn’t want to find out.

Later, Billy will offer updates to a worried Lily. Although Lily won’t ask Billy to stop the investigation, he’ll suspect she indeed wants him to stop.

Lily will express genuine concern over what Ashland might do in retaliation, but Billy will have a feeling they’re going to find out.

After Adam makes a quick call to Sharon for a last-minute pep talk, he’ll sit Connor down for an important conversation. Adam will reveal that Connor’s parents won’t be living together when Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) comes back to Genoa City.

Connor will get upset when Adam suggests that people grow apart and will yell that Adam needs to try harder. He won’t think you should give up on people and will rant about Adam’s broken promise of them always being together.

Adam will contend that some promises are impossible to keep and will suggest going to see a friend who can help them. Once Adam makes it to Crimson Lights with Connor, Sharon will join them.

Connor will ask why Adam always goes to Sharon when there’s a problem and will think lots of people are trained in situations like this.

“But Dad chooses you over and over again,” Connor will insist. He’ll bet Chelsea wouldn’t like knowing they’re all together like this. Connor will admit he heard his mom talking to his grandma about Sharon.

Connor ask if Sharon’s the reason for Chelsea and Adam’s breakup, but Adam will argue that what happened with Chelsea was complicated.

Adam will confess to having a romantic relationship with Sharon years ago, but he’ll assure Connor they’re just friends now.

Although Chelsea has struggled with that at times, Adam will declare that Sharon isn’t the reason they’re not together anymore.

Connor won’t believe Adam and will feel like his dad hurt his mom. He’ll mention the stroke and how Adam wasn’t there for Chelsea the way he should’ve been.

“Because of you, Sharon,” Connor will snap. He’ll declare that both of them broke Chelsea’s heart and will eventually rush out of the coffeehouse.

When Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) finds Connor at the park, she’ll recognize him from his picture in Adam’s office.

Sally will introduce herself and covertly send Adam a text to let him know where Connor is. Adam and Sharon will arrive soon after – though Sharon will hang back to avoid upsetting Connor even further.

Sally will mention that they’ve been talking about lacrosse. She’ll sense that Connor’s upset about something, so Adam will note that bad news is hard to hear sometimes.

Sally will offer some encouraging words and will wind up telling the story of getting doused with an ice bucket at a fancy party.

Sally will point out that she survived and will assure Connor that he’ll survive, too. That’ll earn a slight smile and a nod from Connor.

Adam will smile as well, but Sharon will seem a bit unsettled before she leaves.

When Adam steps aside to speak with Sally alone, she’ll let him know she’s around if he ever needs help. Adam will appreciate the offer, but he’ll insist it’s a private family matter.

At Society, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will get Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) take on Ashland. Nate will admit he’s impressed by Ashland and how he’s handling his terminal illness.

Afterward, Ashland will arrive at the bar and check another text that says, “Time to meet.” Nate will approach to let Ashland know he’s decided to accept his best man offer.

When Ashland comes home, he’ll find suspicious Nick with Victoria and start ranting. Ashland will argue that he shared what he shared so they could be done with this crap!

Nick will point out that the one who seems most concerned about his past in that room right now is Ashland.

Once Nick leaves, Ashland will apologize to Victoria for losing his cool. He’ll be on edge from his earlier confrontation with Billy, but he’ll feel like he got his point across.

Ashland will also receive another text that says, “I won’t go away just because you pretend I’m not here.” He’ll lie to Victoria about it being Nate texting him the best man acceptance news.

Finally, Nick will pay Victor a visit and point out that Victoria is a lot more worried than she’s letting on.

Nick will think that Ashland’s reason for hiding his birth name must be huge and will refuse to trust Ashland until he knows the whole truth.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say the truth is definitely horrible and will ultimately bring Victoria’s life with Ashland to a screeching halt.

CDL will have other exciting Young and the Restless spoilers, news and updates to read up on, so pop back in soon.
