Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap review for the week of October 17-21 reveals Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Walker-Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) continued building to the perfect cheating setup while Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) played a devious game.
For starters, Nicole and Eric’s DOOL storyline has been a great one so far.
It’s hitting all the right angsty notes as Days builds to Nicole’s inevitable betrayal with the love of her life.
The week kicked off with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) exploding over yet another close moment between Eric and Nicole.
Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) witnessed the fight, so she was able to spill the beans to Eric once he suddenly got the boot at Basic Black.
Although it was out of character for Nicole to fire Eric the way she did, we’ll cut her some slack since she’s been so flustered lately.
It’s obvious Nicole is trying hard to fight her desires, but there’s a magnetic pull she can’t deny.
Of course, Nicole later realized it was a mistake to cut Eric loose at the company.
Rafe wished Nicole hadn’t done it, so she’s going to make things right.
However, Rafe made a comment that was the kiss of death for his marriage.
When Rafe told Jada that he had to be able to trust his wife, that set the stage perfectly for Nicole to cheat on him.
Days spoilers say the show will keep up the good work with photoshoots and other ways to pull “Ericole” closer, so it’s nice that they’re really laying the proper groundwork for a betrayal.
Over with Johnny and EJ, they had some excellent scenes that highlighted their devious DiMera blood.
Johnny had to think fast when EJ caught him snooping in his office, so he claimed he’d seen the light about Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun).
After Johnny acted like EJ was right about Ava, he suggested it was time for him to take his rightful place at DiMera Enterprises.
Johnny used that since he was hoping to score the password for EJ’s computer, but his father turned the tables.
Since EJ wasn’t buying anything Johnny was selling, he suggested he was wrong about Johnny’s future – that he was an artist who didn’t belong behind a desk.
It was entertaining to see Johnny and EJ try to dupe each other.
In the end, EJ clearly proved the student can’t eclipse the master.
Johnny assured Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) that there was no chance that EJ was onto him, but EJ called IT to tighten security on all DiMera devices!
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Johnny will keep up his efforts to find out the truth about Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) brainwashing, so stick with DOOL.
