General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, June 21, tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Selina Wu (Lydia Look) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will team up while Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) gets a chance to tell his side of the story. Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will also be rocked by a scandal, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
As the show celebrates its 15,000th episode, Laura will be front and center for a new mystery.
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) just called to warn Laura about a catastrophe that’s brewing, so that’ll involve a mysterious political threat.
Laura’s job will be in jeopardy thanks to the scandal that erupts, so this could tie in with that time Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) rigged the election or some other buried issues.
Whatever the case, Laura will need some help keeping the mayoral position.
After Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) gives Laura a pep talk about not needing votes to know she’s loved, they’ll step inside a room at GH.
There’ll be a big meeting full of familiar faces as everyone bands together to keep Laura in power.
Scott will welcome Laura to the committee they’ve formed to save her hide and will lead the charge.
This special episode will feature as many cast members as possible and will use some of the show’s history to highlight things happening in the present.
Next, Curtis will end up in Sonny’s office, where they’ll also be joined by Selina.
The three of them will talk about uncovering info and figuring out who’s pulling the strings on this threat to Laura.
Since something landed on Alexis’ desk, it seems likely someone told her to publish a scandalous story on Laura or they’d take the news elsewhere.
Alexis may run the story so she can control the narrative a bit more, but the situation will still create some trouble for Laura.
Although Laura will be deeply unsettled by this crisis, she’ll try to put on a brave face.
Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will tell Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) that “you’d never know that was a dead woman walking.”
Laura suspects Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) was behind the threat to her life at the safehouse, but that doesn’t mean Cyrus couldn’t seek vengeance another way.
Jeff Kober was on set for the 15,000th episode celebration, so Laura might pay him a visit with some accusations.
Since Cyrus claims to have found religion, it’s possible he’ll act like this is about exposing sins and speaking the truth rather than revenge.
There’s a chance Cyrus is working with someone on the outside.
Then again, maybe Cyrus had nothing to do with this scandal and will point Laura in another direction entirely.
“How long have you been waiting to even the score?” Laura asks someone in Tuesday’s GH preview video.
No matter how this plays out, Laura will keep digging until she unravels this mystery and ultimately confronts the person truly responsible for the threat.
As for the milestone itself, it’s certainly worth celebrating. Not many shows out there are reaching 15,000 episodes, so it’s nice that they’re doing something special to honor the occasion!
