General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, July 27, teases that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will reveal a Cassadine family decision while Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) faces a tough blow. Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) will also make a plea to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), so there’ll be some exciting things playing out in Port Charles.
After Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) quizzes Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) at Wyndemere, he’ll be even more on edge than before.
Nikolas may worry that if the cops close in on Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and her role in all the Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) drama, it could lead to trouble.
If Esme goes down for Oz’s attempted murder or finally faces consequences in the cabin video scandal, she might have nothing left to lose.
That possibility should concern Nikolas, who’s desperate to keep Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) in the dark on his betrayal.
Of course, Esme used that betrayal as leverage to get her Spring Ridge internship reinstated.
We’ll see Esme fill Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) in on that and leave him pleased that she put the secret to good use.
That said, Ryan will no doubt be ready to get this show on the road.
Esme has already put off the ultimate betrayal bomb longer than Ryan wanted, so he’ll hope to expose the cheating shocker and destroy Ava’s marriage to Nikolas.
However, Esme may admit things have gotten complicated now that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) has turned against her.
Will Esme seek info on her birth mom to confirm whether Spencer’s claims might be legit?
If so, Ryan may assure Esme that her mother isn’t in Portugal and certainly wasn’t found by Spencer.
Since Ryan has hinted about Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) being Esme’s mother instead, he may rat Spencer out for lying – even if he doesn’t tell Esme the whole truth himself.
As for the destruction of Ava and Nikolas’ marriage, that’ll definitely still be part of the equation.
Esme will receive instructions from Ryan, who’ll perhaps coach her on how to do the maximum damage.
The idea of hurting Spencer with his father’s backstabbing should please Esme as well.
At the courthouse, Spencer will hope for a tender moment with Trina as he vows to be there for her.
Trina may end up being rather cold to Spencer considering he hasn’t shown much support up to now.
Spencer has been working hard to clear Trina’s name, but he hasn’t revealed his secret plan to her yet.
That’ll make things strained as Spencer tries to comfort Trina before court’s back in session.
Ava and Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) will mull over what Spencer might say on the stand, but they’ll soon have a chance to hear for themselves.
The same goes for Trina, who’ll be somewhat crushed when Spencer chooses to save himself over her.
Spencer won’t divulge the truth about his jaunt from Spring Ridge to the cemetery, where he crossed paths with Trina at the time of the video’s release.
It’d give Trina an alibi if Spencer came clean, but he’ll keep that news to himself and avoid going to prison again as a result.
Fortunately, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) will still find some ammo she can use in Spencer’s testimony.
After Diane latches onto Esme having a rather flimsy alibi at the cabin, she’ll use that info to her advantage.
Other GH spoilers say Victor will make a big Cassadine clan announcement.
It turns out Victor has made a major decision as the head of the family, so Nikolas will wonder what he’s talking about.
Victor will reveal some stunning updates on the fam’s future – and he’ll pick up on Nikolas’ anxiety, too.
Nikolas may downplay his nervousness and keep his Esme secret buried, but Victor will sense that he’s not getting the real story.
Over with Cody, he’ll beg Britt for another chance, but Britt will struggle to get on board.
Although Britt still won’t think they’re compatible, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will disagree and apparently argue that Society Setups made a great match.
Maxie will partly be doing this to support Damian Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) venture, but she’ll also hope to help Cody and Britt connect.
It sounds like Maxie will see the potential for a romance, even if Britt can’t envision it yet.
Despite Maxie’s efforts to play Cupid, General hospital spoilers say Cody and Britt’s path to love will remain a rocky one.
