The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) future will be revealed. Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s maternity leave could affect the plot along with Steffy and Finn’s relationship, so let’s consider what’s in store.
For starters, B&B clearly has no plans to write Wood’s pregnancy into the show.
There’s no need for Steffy to have another baby right now anyway since the drama is more about her parents lately.
Steffy and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) have been working hard to make sure Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) lives happily ever after with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen).
Unfortunately, that doesn’t leave much for Finn to do, so his airtime has dwindled drastically.
With that in mind, there’s the potential for Steffy and Finn to stay on solid ground offscreen.
The last time Wood went on maternity leave, B&B wrote in a little trip up the coast. Finn, Steffy and Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray) all enjoyed a getaway together.
The show might include a similar trip this time around or even send Steffy to Paris on business with Finn and the kids in tow.
That’s especially true if Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) ends up going wild and leaving Steffy with concerns about her family’s safety.
Once Steffy finds out Sheila gave Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) a push off the wagon, it’ll prove she hasn’t changed a bit.
Finn and Taylor should agree after they become privy to the Sheila shocker down the road.
If Sheila truly gets shut out of Finn and Hayes Forrester Finnegan’s (Piper Harriot) lives for good, there’s no predicting what she might do.
Sheila could resort to violence or at least have some scary meltdowns that make Steffy want to leave LA with her family for a while.
A kidnapping crisis might even be an option depending on how things play out!
Then again, Finn has been on the backburner, so it may be easy for the show to slide Steffy right there with him during Wood’s maternity leave.
It could be as simple as having other characters say Steffy’s at work, out with the kids, etc. – just like they’ve done with Finn lately.
Whatever the case, Steffy and Finn have become a strong couple, so hopefully they’ll stay that way for the foreseeable future.
