The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may move Diane Jenkins (Michael Mealor) in the Abbott house for protection. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) plan could backfire – leaving Diane closer to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) than ever before.
Kyle has been trying to guard his heart when it comes to Diane, but he clearly adores her.
It didn’t take long for Kyle to embrace this relationship with his mom, so he’s growing more protective of Diane every day.
Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) has been cautious yet supportive, so she’s making the right call here.
If Summer tried to go against Kyle, she knows it’d be hurtful and could cause major issues in their marriage.
Summer has even tried to keep the peace between Diane and Phyllis, but that idea isn’t working out very well.
Now that Phyllis has ditched the truce, she’ll land on a vengeful team with Nikki and Ashley during the week of July 18-22.
Phyllis, Nikki and Ashley all want the same thing: to drive Diane out of their lives and out of Genoa City.
Unfortunately, by going after Diane like this, they’ll just give her a chance to play the victim.
It’d be better to wait for Diane to mess up, but Nikki and the others will cause problems by trying to rush things along.
Even if Nikki’s investigator comes up with LA dirt, Kyle could just argue that Diane has changed.
Diane has been saying and doing all the right things since she reentered Kyle’s life, so why wouldn’t he continue to support her?
From where Kyle’s standing, it’s going to seem like Phyllis, Ashley and Nikki are all ganging up on his poor mother.
Kyle will inevitably feel sorry for Diane and want to protect her from all this drama.
Instead of getting Diane out of town, Nikki and her allies may give her an opportunity to further cement her Abbott connection.
Diane’s dream has always been to be a real part of the Abbott household.
In the July 20 episode, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will ask Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) if Diane has moved in yet.
Allie will laugh and suggest she wouldn’t put it past Diane!
We wouldn’t put it past Diane either, especially if Kyle arranges for it to happen.
Kyle may insist that Diane needs to move her things out of her athletic club suite and into the Abbott house instead.
Y&R fans might see Kyle sell it as a way for him to protect Diane from her enemies and have her stay close to Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez), who’s been bonding with his “Didi” and would love to have her around.
Since Jack won’t approve of this vengeful Diane alliance either, he might give Kyle the green light.
It’d be quite the twist of fate if Ashley, Phyllis and Nikki drove Diane into the Abbott house instead of out of GC like they planned!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle has vowed to protect Diane and will certainly do whatever it takes to keep that promise.
