Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Whitley King (Kim Coles) will have to pay the price for her actions. Since Whitley felt the walls closing in recently, she decided to make Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) family members believe he was gone for good.
Of course, that was on top of the kidnapping drama that Whitley had already caused.
Whitley made quite a mess when she decided to snatch Abe from the hospital and make him believe she was his wife, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry).
That’s led many DOOL fans to wonder exactly what Whitley’s motives are.
Even Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) didn’t see the profile of a criminal when he did research on Whitley’s background.
Whitley seems to be a caring nurse as well as a widower with no children, so Eli didn’t see any red flags.
When we take a closer look at this Days storyline, Eli’s already seen Whitley’s motives right there in front of him.
This is a lonely woman who’s struggled since the death of her husband, so now she’s found a replacement to dote on. Before she abducted Abe, Whitley only had her stuffed cats to keep her company.
It’s clear that Whitley previously spent some sad nights alone with TV dinners watching Body and Soul, but now Abe’s there to be her fill-in hubby.
Whitley no doubt enjoys feeling like a devoted wife again – even if she’s not the real thing.
It’s possible Whitley battles some guilt when it comes to her actual husband’s death.
Maybe this is a situation where Whitley feels the need to protect Abe because she couldn’t save her own hubby.
Days spoilers say Whitley does seem to know a lot about Abe’s background, but that’s mostly because everyone knows Mayor Carver.
Perhaps Whitley has crushed on the mayor from afar, so that may have been a factor in the opportunity she ultimately took advantage of.
Whitley doesn’t want to harm Abe and would be content playing house forever if it were up to her, but she’ll get busted soon enough.
Days spoilers say Whitley’s secret will be exposed, so she’ll presumably get arrested.
It makes sense for Whitley to be taken into police custody so that she can share her sob story.
Whitley may tearfully explain why she did what she did, but a prison stint is probably still in her future unless she can cut a deal for Bayview.
