General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Rena Sofer is set to make a big Port Charles comeback when she returns to the role of Lois Cerullo, who happens to be Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) ex-wife and Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) mother.
People.com reports that Sofer filmed the first scenes of her new stint this week, so look for her to make her first return appearance starting in October.
Ever since Sofer left the role of Quinn Fuller on B&B back in 2022, fans have wondered whether she might soap hop over to GH and breathe new life into Lois Cerullo.
Once Ned woke up with a strange version of amnesia and thought he was “Eddie Maine” again, that added fuel to the fire when it came to speculation about Lois’ return.
Now there’s confirmation that Rena Sofer is indeed coming back to play Lois for some new drama this fall.
“Eddie” could easily fall head over heels again once he sees Lois, which would certainly complicate things for Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) as Ned’s wife.
Olivia just wants her husband back, but she might have to watch “Eddie” fall back in love with Lois instead!
Of course, Brook Lynn might find herself feeling torn once Lois returns to town.
Part of Brook Lynn might want to see Olivia and Ned repair their marriage, but another part of her may enjoy seeing her parents happy together – even if Ned is stuck as “Eddie” for a while longer.
There’s even a chance “Eddie” will get his memories back and retain a bit of this “Eddie” personality.
We might get “Neddie” at some point, which could leave him pretty conflicted when it comes to whether he’ll choose Olivia or Lois!
Whatever the case, it’ll be great to see Lois back in Port Charles.
Lois previously married “Eddie” when Ned was secretly living a double life, which was a problem since Ned was also blackmailed into marrying Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans) around that time.
Although Lois and Ned split after she found out about his bigamy, he ultimately won her back and entered a new marriage with her – only to lose Lois all over again by choosing his family and ELQ over love.
Now that Rena Sofer is set to reprise her role as Lois Cerullo, will Brook Lynn’s parents reunite romantically?
Time will tell, but Lois is going to shake things up no matter what!
