General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) will finally get some good news about her kidnapped baby boy. Ever since Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) got snatched, Esme has been stuck waiting for updates on whether her son would be found alive and safe.
Although Esme has made some big mistakes, it’s easy to see that she loves Ace.
Of course, that doesn’t erase Esme’s past any more than her amnesia does, but it’s still worth acknowledging that Esme does seem like a good mom – at least so far!
All the drama in Greenland will heat up during the week of May 1-5, so this is building toward the climax of the story.
There’ll be some scary moments along the way, but it looks like the hostages will be rescued and reunited with their loved ones during the week of May 8-12.
Naturally, Ace will need to get checked out at the hospital following his ordeal, so that’s presumably why Esme will race to GH on May 11.
It sounds like Esme will be summoned there for this long-awaited reunion.
Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will be breathing sighs of relief around this time, so that tells us Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) are going to be just fine.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will hopefully be OK as well, but it’ll be interesting to see how things go when he’s forced to give his little brother back to Esme.
In the immediate aftermath of Ace’s kidnapping, Esme announced her plans to leave town with him once they were reunited and wash her hands of all things Cassadine!
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) had to settle Esme down and warn against making hasty decisions.
However, Esme later showed concern for Spencer and sought Laura’s reassurance that she’d bring him home, too.
That could mean Ace’s return will bring an opportunity for some peace and understanding.
It’s not Spencer’s fault that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) went so far off the rails, so Esme may acknowledge that when she finally takes Ace in her arms again.
Now that Spencer has seen how unhinged his own family can be, he may realize Ace can’t possibly be in that much danger with Esme as a mom. Anything is better than the nightmare Victor just unleashed!
Esme does a perfectly good job taking care of Ace, so Spencer might accept that and try to get along with her somewhat for Ace’s sake.
That doesn’t mean Spencer will forgive Esme’s previous transgressions or stop waiting for her to mess up again, but he may not put up too much of a fight when it comes to letting Esme raise Ace for now.
General Hospital spoilers say Esme and Ace should get a happy reunion, so she may thank Spencer for looking out for his brother during all the chaos.
