General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may be on the verge of blowing her second chance with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). GH fans know Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) pushed Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to make things right between Willow and Nina, but Carly didn’t want to pressure Willow into making amends.
Instead, Carly offered to help build a bridge between Liesl and Willow, so she asked her almost daughter-in-law for a favor.
Willow seemed open to the idea of connecting with Liesl – and she’ll be even more receptive to her once Obrecht is inevitably revealed as a bone marrow donor match.
This life-saving news should allow Liesl to be the hero in more ways than one.
Obrecht can save Willow from a grim fate, but she’ll also land in a position where she can help Nina make progress with her biological daughter.
Unfortunately, Nina is her own worst enemy sometimes!
Since Nina is so fixated on Carly and Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) secret romance, it won’t be long until she realizes they’re trying to avoid going down for insider trading.
Once Nina learns she has the power to tip off the SEC and potentially send Carly to prison, will she be able to resist taking advantage of it?
It’s easy to imagine Carly pushing Nina’s buttons at the worst possible moment, which could set the stage for disaster.
Nina may ultimately be the one to turn Carly and Drew in for insider trading, so that could indeed bring the potential for legal consequences.
Carly could get arrested, so how will Willow feel if she finds out Nina sent Michael Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) mom to jail?
It won’t be a good look for Nina if she fights to put Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos’ (Nathan and Owen Ford) other grandma behind bars.
That’s the kind of thing that could blow any progress Liesl helps Nina make with Willow.
With that in mind, Obrecht may fall on her sword for Nina and lie about being the one to notify the SEC.
Perhaps Liesl will take the blame once Nina’s accused and act like she’s responsible so that Nina can stay on Willow’s good side.
Of course, the truth tends to come out in situations like this anyway, but it’d be in character for Liesl to at least try to help Nina avoid the consequences.
