The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 26, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) remained on edge over the possibility that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) might be lurking, so she looked uneasy and made sure the doors were locked.
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) understood Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) concerns about John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Sheila, but he also felt the need to call his brother out on a few things – starting with the fact that Liam kissed Steffy in Rome.
Liam asked what that had to do with Sheila and Finn, so Wyatt said it affected how Liam might be overreacting to things.
That led to Wyatt asking if Liam was looking for an excuse to insert himself and upend Steffy’s marriage so that he’d have another chance with her.
Liam insisted he wasn’t out to torpedo Steffy’s relationship and added that he just wanted to protect her along with Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay). The stakes were too high to ignore this, so Liam headed for the door.
Wyatt questioned where Liam was going, but then he wondered if he even needed to ask. Liam just stared at Wyatt before making a speedy exit.
Back at the cliff house, Steffy was startled over a knock at the door. When Steffy asked who it was, Liam said it was him and gained entrance.
After Liam said he wanted to see how Steffy was doing, he could tell something was wrong. Steffy was stressed and didn’t think she could ever let her guard down with Sheila out of prison.
Liam admitted that he came to talk to Steffy about Sheila and Finn, which led to the story of him following Finn after the trial and finding him in Sheila’s arms.
Although Liam said he debated whether to come to Steffy with this info, it was all about safety at the end of the day. Liam insisted he wasn’t saying any of this to cause problems in Steffy and Finn’s marriage.
However, Steffy struggled to believe what Liam witnessed and acted like it couldn’t be true.
Liam confirmed that it was and reiterated that he saw Finn hugging Sheila.
Next on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) went with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) to Il Giardino, where she gave Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) updates on her kiss with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) in Italy and Liam’s decision to leave her.
After Hope explained what happened, she wound up revealing that she’d met with Liam to sign the divorce papers.
Deacon was surprised to hear that Hope had taken that step so fast – and Brooke also advised Hope not to give up on her marriage so easily.
Nevertheless, Hope felt like Liam was the one who gave up. Besides, Hope didn’t want to be with someone who couldn’t give her his whole heart and extend the same grace when it came to mistakes.
Once Hope insisted that Liam still loved Steffy, she admitted she didn’t know what the future held with Thomas.
Hope just wanted to make sure Deacon and Brooke heard the latest divorce news from her.
Brooke was heartbroken for Hope since Liam was the love of her life, but Hope argued that she wasn’t the only love of Liam’s life.
Since Liam also wanted Steffy, Hope refused to be in competition forever and didn’t want to live like that anymore.
Meanwhile, Sheila showed up at the restaurant wearing a big hat and sunglasses, so she was able to lurk undetected.
After Deacon received a message about a delivery, he headed to his apartment and was confused when it didn’t seem to be there. It quickly became apparent that this was part of Sheila’s ruse to meet with Deacon alone.
Disguised Sheila slipped in and locked the door behind her, so Deacon was confused until he looked down and saw the mystery woman was missing a toe.
After Sheila ditched her hat and sunglasses, she told “Daddy” that she was back and pulled Deacon into a kiss.
Back with Brooke, she pointed out that Hope shared more than a kiss with Thomas and asked if that was the reason why she had divorce papers drawn up.
Hope argued that she deserved to be with someone whose feelings weren’t divided.
Brooke couldn’t believe Hope’s marriage was coming to an end, so Hope said she couldn’t believe it either.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Hope and Thomas will have to make some decisions about their own future eventually, so stick with the CBS soap.
